What's important to acknowledge is, the FBI did more harm than good for Clinton.

You can look at the inflection points: Comey's announcement, Comey's announcement the investigation was closed, Comey's letter.

Decisive amounts of voters changed their view of Clinton each time.
To elaborate: It is for precisely this reason the Department of Justice has sought to forbid its staff from commenting, in any way, on a political candidate under investigation in the homestretch of an election.

Comey broke that tradition and arguably that policy. A.G. Lynch should have fired him that instant, and declined to do so to keep the right wing from frothing at the mouth... a hopeless exercise.

I literally said you can use Fox News reporters. I couldn't have been more generous to you guys in recommending source material, and yet you act as if you've been asked to step in for Atlas.

The dismissive, spiteful and intellectually lazy attitude among the Trump base as represented on this forum is really getting out of hand.

That is why he thought he could get away with saying she was extremely careless (instead of grossly negligent) without damaging her chances to become president.

This backfired on him however - and just made him look like a fool for not suggesting a prosecution of her to begin with (which would have been really fucking her over) because there isn't a significant difference between being extremely careless and grossly negligent in regards to handling classified information. So all his little word games did was prove what a hack he was and how guilty Mrs. Clinton was.

So yes - he did damage Mrs. Clinton's campaign. There is no doubt about that. But he was too arrogant or stupid to know that's what he was actually doing. He actually believed the American people were so ignorant that they would fall for his little public drama and accept that she had not violated any laws and put the issue to bed so she could ascend the presidency controversy free (which was his intent). It never even occurred to him in his arrogance that Mrs. Clinton would have been better off had he not gotten involved publicly in the first place.
The Strzok / Page texting suggests they needed a plan to deal with Trump in the event he won.

What did I say that needs "backing up"?

Really? What you describe as dismissive, spiteful and intellectually lazy sure sounds like the liberal element here. Just ask any of the unnamed sources that are repeated here continually as gospel.

Hillary harmed herself with her stupidity / arrogance, the FBI was dragged into it. Hillary was an issue they wanted to drop.

Your entire OP. When you need to be told this in your own thread, just as a friend, it doesn't look very good.

I don't know or care what this thread is about. Republican's had hearings on Benghazi and Hillary's emails and got nothing.

    ....in other News!

Cosby is guilty. One Perv down, one to go. Trump shot off his big mouth this morning on Fox & Friends and discredited Cohen and himself. Trump's nomination for VA Head removed himself from consideration and the Clusterfuck at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue continues.

    Sheesh......get a life.

There are multiple instances where MSM unnamed sources have been confirmed by the Trump administration, however belatedly. Want to see some?
