    Kasich: 'I didn't leave the Republican Party. The Republican Party left me'

    I agree with the man. There is a sea of rational people in the middle looking for a better option. I don't know if that means their will be change in 2020 on the right. It's not like this country has a strong history of seated presidents losing the nomination of their party. But, more importantly, it does illustrate the lurch of the GOP to the far right fringe. Hopefully, it's temporary.

    Ohio Republican Gov. John Kasich expressed frustration with the current state of the Republican and Democratic parties Sunday amid rumors that he could pursue a 2020 presidential run.

    "I'm still a Republican. I didn't leave the Republican Party. The Republican Party left me," Kasich said on CNN's "State of the Union." "In my state we have balanced budgets, surplus, we're up half a million jobs and then people say, 'Well Kasich's not a conservative.' What does that mean?"

    <snip>

    But he added that he has no idea what Democrats are for.

    Kasich said he foresees "a big ocean of people in the middle who are up for grabs in November.

    "These are people who are objective. These are people who are rational," Kasich said.

    I wanted him to get the GOP nomination in 2016. I would have a LOT more faith in that party if he had.

    Kasich was already roundly rejected by the GOP, and would be again most likely.

    Once a loser always a loser ... Kasich is a fucking idiot.

    Let him try to run again ... and we'll just see how that plays out.

    I agree. He's been dismissed as a RINO. Just like how the far right dismisses anyone who doesn't march lockstep as really being a liberal all along: Bush, Bush II, Romney, McCain, Christie, Ryan, Huntsman, Flake, Mueller, etc.

    Is he a fucking idiot for having a budget surplus? Is that why he is a fucking idiot, in your opinion? Or do you have some better reason?

    Kasich wasn't intelligent enough to realize big government progressives like himself belong on the other side of the aisle.

    He and Jeb Bush both.
