I'm guessing you were one of them. If you were old enough to vote back then, that is.
Funny how you ignore how Tip interfered in that

Every time a Republican is in the WH they do the same thing and it never works.

Really? Are we the ones claiming if you cut taxes you will increase revenue more than you would if you left taxes the same? The Bush cuts cost over 3.5 trillion dollars of tax revenue that was then added to the deficit, but you didn't know that, did you?

How much did the Bush tax cuts cost?
The non-partisan Congressional Research Service has estimated the 10-year revenue loss from extending the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts beyond 2010 at $2.9 trillion, with an additional $606 billion in debt service costs (interest), for a combined total of $3.5 trillion.

He certainly is the face of the GOP as can be seen by those who minimize his crimes. Would you have voted for him if you lived in his district?

You want people to pay for their own benefits, so do I. To that end may I suggest that employers who profit from the labor of others, pay wages that make being self-sufficient possible.

It is viable for other first world countries, and that's a fact jack.

If Americans cant figure out how to make it viable here, perhaps we could outsource the job to a country that has made it work.

(I like to think Americans can do anything once we set our minds to it, but maybe conservatives are right, and we're incompetent)

I could ask you the same question about conservatives.

How about conservatives acting like a responsible grown-ups, and lead by example? (of course that would mean dumping trump - first thing)
