He sounds kind of whiny, but I expected that.

I was curious about what he said at the end about "the righteous" after talking about the Holocaust. I'm going to have to wait and find a transcript on line as I found it disturbing, but maybe I heard him wrong. Netanyahu was trolling like crazy and kept saying "God said all this was ours 3,000 years ago" and I thought, what if we applied the "dibs" standard to all countries? It just seems like a lame rationale to me.

Trump is TRASH. He deserves no respect. I respect the office. And hopefully in the not too distant future, I can respect concurrently.

Okay, he was talking about his grandparents surviving the holocaust and said he keeps a picture of them on his desk to remind himself of the "decisive power of the US to tip the scales in favor of the righteous".

So does he mean the Jews are the righteous? This kind of reminds me a little of the Pulp Fiction speech that Samuel L. Jackson gives at the end. Anyway, what struck me about it was that the Third Reich's belief that they were the righteous is what created the Holocaust in the first place.

I really don't like the way Israel views itself as a country destined by God to run the block. I doubt they will miss an opportunity to push forward with their agenda with Trump in power because the next president isn't going to do their bidding the way the US will with this administration. If I were them I'd see it as having 3 years to wipe Iran off the map or lose the chance for a decade.

    We'll see I guess.

Here's an interesting tidbit about the speeches IMO. My emphasis:

Most speakers at the embassy ceremony in Jerusalem this morning chose to ignore the events in Gaza, but Prime Minister Netanyahu praised the “brave soldiers protecting the borders of Israel.” Jared Kushner said "those provoking violence are part of the problem and not part of the solution,” though those remarks were omitted from an official White House transcript.
    Hmmmm.

This is from the Axios World Newsletter.
    Thanks from Blueneck
