    That's really funny.

They (the universities and their employees) have largely become the shepherds of the gullible "sheeple" right after high school. Their job depends on towing line on the liberal "group think."
Some campuses cannot even stand to listen to opposing views they are so entrenched in their leftist fantasy. So, their speech and pronouncements carry little significance for me. I think they have forgotten the role of the traditional university as a place to learn and debate ideas; all ideas.
Gosh, you're right. We should probably just close down all our universities. Actually, I'm not even sure we really need folks with high school diplomas anymore. Maybe an 8th grade education will be enough for the 21st century. Whaddaya think?

I went to my son's graduation ceremony yesterday, and yet there were 1000 kids getting their diploma. Go figure. And those professors and educators of higher learning haven't gotten a pay raise in 3 years although I heard they might be getting 4% next year. (Wisconsin University system)

What did your son get a degree in? University of Wisconsin?

For that matter, a sitting president having "rallies" evokes memories of Mussolini, among others. I mean, a rally for what? A "rally" has no relevance to governing.

So point out what the article got wrong.

Under Trump, the GOP has gotten much more cruel. Holding back environment reports on toxic chemicals because it would be "bad publicity" and now taking away immigrant kids from their parents for starters.

Name me one thing the GOP has done in the last year that shows they have any concern for the average person in this country.

He feels a frequent need to be with 'his people'.

They're the only ones who 'understand' him.

The GOP has had a streak of Social Darwinism since the time of Reagan, but now it is right out in the open, as naked as you please. Cutting SNAP benefits will lead to children going hungry in this country, supposedly the richest country in the world. They don't give a flying French fart.

Arkady remains the best poster I've ever seen, but you're not bad yourself.

I wonder how people are going to feel when they propose cutting SS and Medicare so they can pay for the massive hole int he deficit they just blew up with their tax bill that really only benefits corps (who were doing just fine even before the stupid tax bill).

Indeed ... survival of the fattest, Jack L. Chalker once wrote. (It was in an essay in his anthology Dance Band on the Titanic, and is not AFAIK published online.)

And it will have no net benefit to the country in any way. It will only make more people dependent on the plutocracy over whom they have no influence, instead of the government over which they can at least have a collective influence.
