Because I believe in equality under tax law.

That would be silly. What wouldn't be silly is everyone paying the exact same small percentage.

Great plan if you are not middle or lower income like the vast majority of Americans. They sold all this by labeling the money grab as a Middle Class Tax Break. Horse hooey!

And you Trumpers fell for it like you fall for every fuckin' lie that comes from the white house. Wake the fuck up!! Soon you'll have no healthcare at all, a lower standard of living and the world will see us as the fools we are for electing this band of thieves.

And your kids will have it even worse for all the mismanagement and abject greed of these con men.
The past 8 years under Obama has been a financial take down for me. Obscenely low interest rates have killed earning power by a lot. Many have no healthcare under ACA. My friend is dealing with it now. He will just drop it , at least now he won't be taxed for not buying insurance he can't afford and is near worthless.

Well, sure, if your aim and goal is to utterly destroy the American middle class and create a 21st century version of feudalism.

That is what the tiny middle class in third world shit holes say, meanwhile their poverty rates skyrocket and the overall standard of living keeps dropping and their infrastructure crumbles to dust.

We can be proud that our post T and T poverty rate is the 25th worst out of the 26 industrialized nations, we are two countries above shit hole level, yippee, skippee.

How Low-Poverty Countries Do It | Demos

When we look at this rate, we find that, at 17.4%, the United States has the 2nd highest post-T&T poverty rate among the 26 countries, trailing only Israel. The countries with the lowest post-T&T poverty rates are the Czech Republic, Denmark, Iceland, Luxembourg, and Finland, with post-T&T poverty rates ranging from 5.8% to 7.3%.

So triple the rate of countries like Denmark and Finland....

And then, in post #19, on the second page of this thread, I wrote this:

It's also wrong to claim half the country doesn't pay federal taxes. Social Security taxes and Medicare taxes ARE federal taxes, you know. So is the gasoline tax.

Where, quite CLEARLY, I was talking about taxes OTHER THAN income taxes. This was BEFORE you went off on your irrelevant rant about Americans not paying income taxes.

Could we please ask you to pay more attention in the future, so that you don't divert threads into useless channels like this?
    Mr. Leroy,

Social Security and Medicare are pension funds, not taxes. That is like saying a 401K is a tax. The poor are to poor to drives, so your gas tax analogy is also quite lame....

Thank you for admitting your were injecting something into this debate that was not in question. Your apology is humbly accepted.
