Big Win for Christian businesses. Government cannot force a business to do something against its will, or in this case "Conscience". This may mean I won't get banned for my opinion on this matter anymore. Good news

You might want to read the decision (and get a sense of its scope) before celebrating too much, AE.

Sure is silence on this issue. The Bullies have gone in hiding. You know the ones that back the Supreme Court on everything. This was not even close 7-2 while I was expecting a one vote edge. I think I will go order a cake today and celebrate

I would think that the same thing will have the same outcome as part of the ruling in that narrow area of animosity in a court also applied to gays in the marketplace. They still have to bake a wedding cake for a gay couple if they bake a cake for everyone else.

That was not answered. The court was rude to the baker and over spoke. That is all that they ruled on. He will still have to bake cakes for gays.

Are you sure on that? As I interpreted it, he wont due to his sincere religious faith. Other bakers in the future may also decline but will have to prove their belief as well.

"Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, in her dissent which was joined by Justice Sonia Sotomayor, argued that "when a couple contacts a bakery for a wedding cake, the product they are seeking is a cake celebrating their wedding -- not a cake celebrating heterosexual weddings or same-sex weddings -- and that is the service (the couple) were denied."

The ruling had nothing to do with baking cakes.
