    This says it all:

    "The outcome of cases like this in other circumstances must await further elaboration in the courts, all in the context of recognizing that these disputes must be resolved with tolerance, without undue disrespect to sincere religious beliefs, and without subjecting gay persons to indignities when they seek goods and services in an open market,"

    That seems to be a perfectly acceptable line of reasoning unrelated to cakes.

    I wonder if the Supreme Court would uphold an "honor killing" because it is an integral part of the muslim "religion"?

    Just heard there are 37 other cases in the lower courts which are florists, photographers, calligraphers etc citing religious objection.

    Sometimes, as in this case, the SC just muddies the water. This is not helpful at all.
