what a load of bullshit. You don't honestly think we can't see what people in your own country are saying about Trump - do you?

The British are rightly laughing at the Trump administration’s confusion over date formats.

In the United States, we represent the date with the month first, followed by the day and the year, which is illogical. No wonder we’re the only English-speaking nation to do so (our territories, commonwealths, and associated states abroad have dutifully followed suit). Most of the rest of the world, including Europe, uses day-month-year, which is logical.

This distinction apparently has baffled the new occupants of the White House

But , you're right about one thing. Most don't think he's very funny at all.

It's always entertaining to watch em try to 'splain why Obama nearly doubled our national debt, IN ONLY EIGHT YEARS!

    But fact are facts.

$10.6T coming in and $19.9T going out.

    Thanks Obama!
And how is Trump doing thus far?

    Not well my friend.

Added on Obama terms: $9.321 Trillion

    That's not quite double...but it's close.
The poster just previous to you said it was a "big deal over a few percent". Was it?

Double the national debt on the day Obama took office WOULD have been 2 x $10.626 Trillion = $21.252 Trillion, as opposed to the $19.947 Trillion that it actually was. How close is that, in percentage terms?

Well, $19.947 Trillion is just 93.86% of $21.252 Trillion, so it is more than 6% less. I myself would not call that a 'FEW' percent. A few percent would be within 3% or 4%, in my usage of that word.

And, anyway, there are all the additional factors that Panzareta and BoiseBo urged you to consider here, as well----which you typically do not consider. Shrug.

As for myself, I think Congress should have had an up-or-down vote on the recommendations of the Simpson/Bowles Commission on the National Debt. The two people primarily responsible for that NOT happening are these two people: Barack Obama and Paul Ryan. I blame them both. In about equal portions.
