Democrats are fine. Nothing new under the sun. For democrats they went through the same thing with Nadar and learned after one election not to vote for outliers. Republicans followed that up by being decimated by the Tea Party and they learned a little slower than the Democrats. Today there was Bernie. I am pretty sure the same lesson that was learned regarding Nadar applies. No one can know whether they learned fast again or not until the elections even if they wish to project an end to something not actually known to date.

Yes, out of many thousands of seats. That argument is silly.

These issues are going to hurt the democrats in November

Speaking as someone who has never been a Democrat, I think the Democratic Party has taken a turn for the better recently. For too long they were basically committed to chasing the GOP to the right. They had this notion that if they were just willing to meet the Republicans more than half way (e.g., adopting Romneycare almost completely), they'd win bipartisan support. But since the conservative base demands plenty of daylight between Republican positions and whatever the Democrats want, the result of that strategy was just to force the Republicans farther and farther to the right. The harder the Democrats tried to be "Republicans Lite," the more extreme the Republicans would become. Now, granted, you could argue that strategy was successful in building popularity for the Democrats. When you compare the era from 1968 to 1988, to the period between 1992 and 2008, the Democrats were certainly vastly more successful at appealing to the American people in national elections in the latter period (winning the popular vote in six of the last seven presidential elections). But winning popular support doesn't matter if you're basically constantly shifting the Overton Window to the right. So, I'd be happy to see a more aggressive and principled liberal position from the Democrats, rather than this constant thought that somehow they can win over the racist white "working class" if they just parrot the Republicans well enough.

Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Ronald Reagan are all turning over in their graves at what you jerks have done to their Grand Old Party.
    Mr. Leroy,

But they sure control a lot of the US congress, the US Presidency, the majority of the Statehouses, and are in complete control of 25 of the State legislatures.

Pretty good for a dead party, would you not say?

Fair point. "Braindead" would be a better description.

    Mr. Arkady,

Yeah, you generally have to be brain dead to be able control most of the country....

So what would that make all those democrats that the brain dead Republicans are imposing their will on?....

LOL, see how silly your posts sounds in context?

You couldn't have missed my point any further if you had tried. This is NOT the Republican Party any more. It's TRUMP'S Party. It's more like a Mafia family than it is a political party. Its ONLY organizing principle is loyalty to Donald Trump, just like loyalty to the Corleone family was in The Godfather. A crime family has taken over America, and you're BRAGGING about that! I find that remarkable.
