Not much there to clarify, as much as you want to play your little game.

    Read it again.

    Figure it out.

LOL...just as I thought... Just throwing shit on the wall to see if it will stick.

Little game? Politely asking a posted to clarify a vague statement is "playing a little game?"

All over the dumb argument that we can't have communism spread. What kind of stupid nonsense is that? We were the bad guys in Vietnam, that's for damn sure. Just like we are the bad guys in the middle east. All to let companies profit. It's so disgraceful how many dumb americans ignore this reality and pretend it doesn't happen. This country needs a war on its turf in modern times to get a taste of what it is like to live the horrors of war on your home, maybe we wouldn't be such war mongerers. Europeans try to avoid war because they lived through the horrors.

I haven't gotten to it yet but remember stumbling on it while it was on TV, but the way soldiers were treated was ridiculous. It's not their fault they were forced into a war. It's a shame so many tried to blame them personally for doing their duties.

I've also been watching a lot of older comics, shows from 20 years or more, like Bill Hicks, George Carlin, and their jokes are still 100% spot on fitting for today. nothing has changed, people are dumb and never learn from history. I hate humans
We have been blessed by geography and good neighbors so it is not part of our culture to hate war. This may be our fatal flaw as a nation, we simply cannot and will not understand the horror of war. As much as I hated the draft, it created a national fear of war that was real. Perhaps we need it again. At the very least, it may drive home to our youth that war is not a video game and we cannot hire others to do what we ourselves will not do. As for our nation itself, we love war. It makes money. It feeds our need to be feared, we call it respected but its really about making everyone else fear us. Why we need this as a nation is beyond me. I would rather be loved than feared. Until we fully grasp what we do to others, we will not change. It is a shame.

I seem to remember something about the "Gulf of Tonkin Incident".

    You may try googling that.

It gave LBJ the excuse to REALLY get going in Vietnam.

But, we were at war long before that...

At the end of 1962 there were 12,000 US troops in S Vietnam.

And 300 US helicopters with US pilots.

    But they were called "advisers".

That correction just proves how the hard right knows absolutely nothing about history. They should actually read books instead of just chewing on the covers.

Give them a little more time and you will see some of the hacks swear Obama started the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

    It is great.

They tell the story from ALL sides and tell the truth about how all 3 presidents played politics with the war and our soldiers lives.

    You're welcome.
Well, you obviously didn't pay very close attention.
