    A Case For Biden

While Biden would not be my first pick it does not go without notice that he has some key assets for some important voter blocks:

    1. He has the experience for those wanting someone who knows what they are doing after the Cluster Pluck we are witnessing.
    2. He was a part of the Obama Administration which is looking better and better with each Trump Tweet (something Hillary could not get across)
    3. He has a natural inside to the Rust Belt (which is the only group Bernie nailed)
    4. He knows the issues and logical solutions
    5. He is a sympathetic figure due to losses in his life
    6. He is a genuinely nice guy

His negative is he can stick his foot in his mouth occasionally but after Trump's continuous toe sucking, who would notice.

I am so done with the mess we are in. I'm ready to focus on positives.

I want Biden to run because I’d like to actually see a tough Democrat take the Don on. There aren’t many out there.

If Booker can get traction on his call to suspend a Supreme Court nominee, he will be one step closer to a spot on a ticket..

Not yet sure how I feel, but that could be because I’m numb.

If widespread rumors for years are true, that would make Booker our first gay veep.

I like Biden and think he could have beaten Trump. It was a shame he didnt run. I think there may be two schools of thought out there. One says voters want younger candidates. But the other is that some feel there is a greater need for deep experience after Trump. Someone who knows how to conduct business and fix things. So I am a bit torn. I like the idea of younger candidates but do think inexperience after Trump is an issue. Lets just hope more celebrities dont plan on running!

Really good points, Bajisama! Something we really need to think about! Wonder how many Trump voters would switch?

I think quite a few with Biden, especially in the Midwest. They liked him there. We have friends in the Scranton, PA area and they all had their "Biden 2016" signs ready but then his son died and he didnt run. They all ended up voting for Trump because they felt he was better for the blue collar workers. Felt Hillary was too white collar for them. So I think Biden could win a lot of them. But again his age is a problem. Maybe not against Trump but its doubtful he would run again in 2024 so he would need a very young strong VP. Preferably someone from the Midwest and not the coasts.
    Thanks from MaryAnne

I have no interest in ever voting for a fully inexperienced candidate. I doubt Biden or Bernie could have beaten him back then as the same actors would have done the same thing to either of them that they did to Hillary. I think that runaway train ran out of the station without anyone having a clue as to how sinister it all was.

I do like the idea of younger ones going for Congress as they can get a crash course on function and issues. It doesn't matter in Congress if a newbee gets in as Congress runs at a slow pace when it is healthy so they have plenty of time to learn as they put their time in.

I dont know about that. I knew quite a few people (mostly elderly) who wouldnt vote for a female for president. So I do think they would have voted for Biden. It wouldnt have taken a lot. Just a few thousand here and there. Consider many steel workers rated female candidates quite low in several polls (no matter who they were) so its possible Biden would have won. I just dont think we are ready for a female yet. Too many still uncomfortable with that.
    Thanks from MaryAnne
