I've said before that the GOP needs to flip-flop on health care. Just come out and say "we were wrong, so let's get serious now." What's their base gonna do about it, vote Democrat? Most of their base is already on some sort of government health program as it is.
Maybe his third term. The American people are more likely to change the US Constitution to give Presidents a 3rd term than Donald Trump has a chance to win a second term.

Donald Trump may not even make it out of the GOP primaries in 2020.

My views on this have changed significantly. It does not make sense to me to have insurance companies play the middle man role in my health care. What exactly are they doing for me other than costing me more money? Speaking of money, it also does not make sense to me to be paying over $10k per person per year in the US for health care when many other countries can do the same for about $4k. That being said, the Democrats have had many opportunities over the past 70 years to do something about this, but all we got from them was Obamacare.

OK, when? He is almost a year-and-a-half into his 'reign'.

Is it gonna be another year? Two years?

    Five years?

    FIFTY years?

I don't think I can wait fifty years, Donald, you asshole. I'm almost 63, right now.

Does this count as a start?

Now you are talking! This is the major problem in this Countrya, insurance Companies and their Lobbyists run the show.

Do you have any idea how many Hospitals have made billions? In my area alone they have merged and expanded all over the place.

Meanwhile Doctors are retiring early, getting out of General Practice because they are sick of fighting the many Insurance regulations.

Trump could do the right thing by insisting his Republican Congress pass Universal Health care. Instead he is just gutting what little people have.

I see too many 30,40,50 year olds stay with dead end jobs to keep Health care. I have seen too many Professional people lose their jobs and have no Health care, cannot pay the exorbitant prices that Insurance companies demand.

I am fine, but that does not mean I do not see the harm done to those people. A person should be able to change jobs, better themselves with out that fear.

    We have an Insurance tyranny.

Face it,Republicans are to blame, too. This is NOT a Political thing. At least Democrats tried.

Get over the blame game, start insisting your Government fix things!

I don't know if I'd use 70 years as a milestone that Democrats have had to get healthcare right.

The US government believed since the 60's is that Medicare, Medicaid, Emergency medical care ...coupled with low medical costs was sufficient to protect most Americans.

Rising technology and the realization that big money could be made from investing in health care has caused the prices to skyrocket.

Im enough of a socialist to believe that basic necessities should be socially funded.

Utilities, education, energy, police and fire, and health care.
    Thanks from BigLeRoy

Dwight D Eisenhower and Harry Truman, Richard Nixon all wanted Health care for all. Johnson mangled to get Medicare through.
