Will Obama/Biden pursue criminal charges against Bush?

Looks like Biden is playing it down, but I get the feeling that just may happen. This will definetly boost their ratings!

The possibility that Barack Obama might seek to bring criminal charges against President Bush or members of his administration has been a recurring theme during the presidential campaign, especially since the Obama campaign has attempted to stress themes of bipartisanship. For that reason, Democrats have been quick to downplay any hints of possible criminal prosecutions.
"If there has been a basis upon which you can pursue someone for a criminal violation, they will be pursued, not out of vengeance, not out of retribution, out of the need to preserve the notion that no one, no attorney general, no president -- no one is above the law." ~Biden

    He's just floatin' the idea....

To see how seriously people take it.

Feingold's been wanting to impeach Bush all along. And, it seems he was right. THAT, will definitely earn him some votes. It's probably an entire CAREER, actually.

I think it would be a splendid idea, putting Bushie in jail - at least symbolically. Give him a suspended sentence or something - ANYTHING - but I mean, if you just do "nothing" when something like this happens, it puts the lie to ALL your talk of democracy and law-abiding societies and all the rest. What it says, is more like, "we're going to let this guy get away with breaking the law and doing anything he wants".

I think they SHOULD pursue criminal charges.

Let's file the charges, and see what happens. My prediction: Bushie will hide behind his executive privilege, and he'll be that kind of a weasel till the day he dies.

See, the concept here, is we need a way to FORCE these people to tell us what's going on. They've already got Rove up on Contempt of Congress, and that's a good thing, 'cause that guy just thumbed his nose at repeated subpoenas.

So yes, I would like to see this legal gray space DEFINED. I don't think it's a good idea to allow the possibility of another George Bush.

Most pathetic pandering I've seen this whole election from Joe Neocon Biden. If anyone believes that Obama-Biden would bring criminal charges against Bush, I've got a "bridge to nowhere" to sell you...

After the democrots caved on telecom immunity for illegal domestic spying there is no chance Bush will ever answer for his lies/crimes.

Looks like he got past a sentence you wrote pretty quickly. I like the term "playing down" instead of lying. sounds a lot better. JBH100 brevity is the soul of wit. What's up soul brother?
