    Obama bows to Saudi king

    Anybody seen this yet.

The President of the United States bowing to King Abdullah

YouTube - Barack Obama Bows To Saudi King Abdullah

The talking heads are saying this is a first and a no no. They are peers, the President of the United States is not subservient to Kings. Goes against our founding principles.

"I am quite certain that this is not the protocol, and is most unbecoming a president of the United States," writes Clarice Feldman in an American Thinker commentary.

I get that he was trying to be respectful, but you don't bow to the king or President of any other country, unless the act is a mutual, cultural curtesy.

When did this happen? The reason I ask is because he bowed to the queen ahead of the G-20 summit.

So what? Why do your assertions cite corporate media talking heads all the time?

They are peers, the President of the United States is not subservient to Kings. Goes against our founding principles.
George W Bush and his father were business partners with the Saudis. Of course, this doesn't mean anything, and a simple gesture is much more important, isn't it.

There are alot of things to critique Obama's Presidency on, but fixating on Michelle Obama's dresses (another thread) and Obama's physical mannerisms is really stretching for complete irrelevance.

Why does it matter whether the right wingers are talking about it? I would expect them to because they are the opposing party. It does not change the fact that our president should not bow down to foreign leaders unless it means that he will be shown mutual respect. It does not matter whetyher its the Queen of England, President of Zimbabwe or the a Saudi Prince.

Yea I saw that. Disgusting. Funny thing is the white house is saying that he didn't bow. Anyway I wonder if he approves of the way they treat their woman in that society ??

I don't know, this outrage seems to be politically inspired.

Now if you want to talk relevance to my life, people bowing to whomever does not make the top 1000 things I worry about.
