Piper is with me tonight, so I won’t say anything about Alan Grayson that can’t be said around children. But thank you, Florida, for allowing candidates in a contested primary to duke it out over ideas and principles and values, all with the same goal, and that is unseating those who have such a disconnect from the people of America. That’s what the goal is here in this race against Alan Grayson. Please fight hard, and do this for the rest of the country. Fight hard, and send a conservative to Washington, DC.”

Well apparently the pitbull with lipstick decided to chew on the wrong toy because Grayson's response is a comedic classic:

    Quote:

Grayson praised Palin for having a hand large enough to fit Grayson’s entire name on it. He thanked Palin for alleviating the growing shortage of platitudes in Central Florida. Grayson added that Palin deserved credit for getting through the entire hour-long program without quitting. Grayson also said that Palin really had mastered Palin’s imitation of Tina Fey imitating Palin. Grayson observed that Palin is the most-intelligent leader that the Republican Party has produced since George W. Bush.

When asked to comment about what effect Palin’s criticism might have, Grayson pointed out, “As the Knave’s horse says in Alice in Wonderland, ‘dogs will believe anything.’” Earlier, as the Orlando Sentinel reported, Grayson said, “I’m sure Palin knows all about politics in Central Florida, since from her porch she can see Winter Park,” which is part of Grayson’s district.

Grayson said that the Alaskan chillbilly was welcome to return to Central Florida anytime, as long as she brings lots of money with her, and spends it.

Until people quit getting a hard on for Jerry Springer type politics we will continue getting the shit spewed out of DC and I guess until then we are getting what we deserve. People want to slam people for saying 'you lie' and then prop them up for these types of comments. They are both wrong. It is inappropriate and irresponsible for the leadership of our country to act like 2nd graders. Then again, if the people want it I guess give it to them. But we really shouldn't bitch about immaturity out of congress should we. They are just giving us what we want.

Well, I would agree, but we are talking about the Facebook sniper here. She accused "Obamacare" of plotting to kill her kid and her parents. Every other word out of her mouth is a lie.

People like Palin, Cheney, Limbaugh and Beck deserve every shitty, inflammatory insult they get as they are making unfounded accusations of the highest order with impunity and I for one am sick of it.

Fuck civility. Character assassination begets character assassination. It's about time the left fought back. We constantly get portrayed as wimps and weaklings and punished for taking the high road. I am happy that I can now point to an actual Democrat in the legislature who is an inflammatory, muckraking, extreme partisan who truly shoots off his mouth and is rude.

Grayson is the real deal. I wished someone would give the Republicans something real to cry about for a change - and Alan Grayson granted my wish.

I assume by "the real deal" you mean he's a liberal Democrat. He's big on cutesy labels and avoiding any substantive answers. Of course, when your principles are at odds with the voters you can't really discuss those. He's a giggle, all right.

If you look at my reply I fault ALL politicians that act this way and the voters that support it. Making excuses for this type of behavior is just justifying it and making it ok. When your President or Congressman tells you to screw off I guess its okay, because we have okayed it.

Fuck civility.....good one. You get what you deserve then. What are people fighting for healthacre and jobs for? I mean fuck civility. If you can't take care of yourself or your family oh well......why should anyone be civilized enough to help I mean fuck civility right. Quit talking about healthcare.....we are getting what we deserve. I mean after all......fuck civility right?

Did you see the protesters at the capital today? Have you heard Michelle Bachmann speak there and on the floor of the house?

Grayson's one guy - yeah, he's rude and inflammatory, but maybe that's just what Republicans need. Someone who makes the same over the top crap like they've been doing for a year and maybe they'll appreciate the civility of the rest of the Democrats, who IMO have been pretty damn patient with being accused of everything from wanting to kill old people and children with disabilities to urging vets to commit suicide, rigging the last election via ACORN, wanting to "destroy America", coddling terrorists, being Socialists, Fascists and having a future vision of after-school abortion clinics funded by the government....I could go on but sometimes bullies just don't stop till you bully them back.

I get your point, but as far as I can tell there's one side doing most of the name-calling and the rest of it, and it's not the Democrats. I'm not crazy about a lot of their policies, but nobody's talking about that, they're just announcing their deluded conclusions as facts, and Sarah Palin is on the top of the heap of it, so why not fight back?

All I ask for is just one party to be a party of ideas. Clearly it's too much to ask for. Maybe I should join up with Mosheh's party.

Edit: I want to break it down a bit.

So Sarah Palin's big attack is:

"I got to meet quite a few candidates who are lining up in a contested primary who want to take out Alan Grayson. And I think Alan Grayson -- what can you say about Alan Grayson? Piper is with me tonight, so I won't say anything about Alan Grayson that can't be said around children. [Good one, Sarah!] But thank you, Florida, for allowing candidates in a contested primary to duke it out over ideas and principles and values, all with the same goal, and that is unseating those who have such a disconnect from the people of America. That's what the goal is here in this race against Alan Grayson. Please fight hard, and do this for the rest of the country. Fight hard, and send a conservative to Washington, DC."

and to this Grayson responds (shortened):

    1) Grayson praised Palin for having a hand large enough to fit Grayson’s entire name on it.

    2) He thanked Palin for alleviating the growing shortage of platitudes in Central Florida.

    3) Grayson added that Palin deserved credit for getting through the entire hour-long program without quitting.

    4) Grayson also said that Palin really had mastered Palin’s imitation of Tina Fey imitating Palin.

    5) Grayson observed that Palin is the most-intelligent leader that the Republican Party has produced since George W. Bush.

    6) When asked to comment about what effect Palin’s criticism might have, Grayson pointed out, “As the Knave’s horse says in Alice in Wonderland, ‘dogs will believe anything.’”

    7) Grayson said, “I’m sure Palin knows all about politics in Central Florida, since from her porch she can see Winter Park,” which is part of Grayson’s district.

Every time he opens his mouth I wonder how he got elected or has even been successful in life. He acts like trash. And considering he's accomplished basically jack shit, it makes him look like the lesser person by behaving that way.

He should worry about working for his constituents, which is his job, and shut his mouth. People that act like that in the 'real world' usually get canned pretty quick. Would anyone want to work with a guy like this?

And you don't make the connection between that and holding the Presidency and both houses of Congress? I do. So what lets act like the losers and see where that gets us? Seems like backward logic to me.
