This man was mentally unstable. Mentally unstable people have done a lot of stupid things. None of these reflect the overall mood or intention of an entire group. To think so is ignorant, and just plain dumb.
yep, just like the nutter that flew his plane into the building in austin.

I don't watch CNN either, so I doubt my panties would be disturbed.

Yes, I would prefer to read all articles from reliable sources. Now with that said, what this man did was wrong, of course. But do you consider all Southern Baptists to be abortion clinic bombers?

James Jay Lee wasis an anti-capitalist Malthusian who wanted the Discovery Channel to stop any programming that promotes capitalism, human birth, progress and the ponzi economy.

    James Lee Hostage Taker Demands

In his list of demands (see the same link) he frequently made it clear he wanted to save the planet by ending human pollution. He was anti-war and wanted to ‘reverse global warming’ to end ‘the destruction of the planet’. He wanted to ‘dismantle the dangerous US world economy.’

In demand number 8 he said:

“Saving the Planet means saving what's left of the non-human Wildlife by decreasing the Human population. That means stopping the human race from breeding any more disgusting human babies! You're the media, you can reach enough people. It's your responsibility [sic] because you reach so many minds!!!”

In demand number 11 he said:

“For every human born, ACRES of wildlife forests must be turned into farmland in order to feed that new addition over the course of 60 to 100 YEARS of that new human's lifespan! THIS IS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE FOREST CREATURES!!!! All human procreation and farming must cease!”

“Saving the environment and the remaning species diversity of the planet is now your mindset. Nothing is more important than saving them. The Lions, Tigers, Giraffes, Elephants, Froggies, Turtles, Apes, Raccoons, Beetles, Ants, Sharks, Bears, and, of course, the Squirrels.”

Yes, let’s not forget the squirrels, hey MajikMyst? I don’t know where you got your ‘right wing nut’ idea from, but this guy was an extremely left wing enviro-whacko, and you better keep your babies safe when the next one comes your way.

No, but it seems you, MajikMyst and henryporter have a big problem trying to figure out who conservatives are.

Andrew Joseph Stack was anti-capitalist as you can see at the end of his long ranting suicide note, here:

The Manifesto Of Austin Texas Crash Pilot Joseph Andrew Stack

“The capitalist creed: From each according to his gullibility, to each according to his greed”

Timothy McVeigh was an agnostic terrorist who renounced his US citizenship, making him nothing like a conservative.

There are many groups of people. Here are some:

    Conservatives
    Liberals
    Environmentalists
    Terrorists

Out of these categories, I am a conservative. You are a liberal. James Jay Lee was an environmentalist. Timothy McVeigh and Andrew Joseph Stack were terrorists.

Mcveigh was a catholic, anti-tax, anti government, pro gun, right wing extremist. About as far right conservative as one can get.

It's almost funny that the party which proclaims that they've had enough, and they're armed and dangerous, should then accuse their opponents of threats and violence. It would be funny, but schizophrenia is serious.

He was a radical, not hardly a conservative. That's nonsense.

No, he was a reactionary. Radicals are extreme left. McVeigh was about as far right as you can get. Not nonsense. Fact.
