9/11 First Responders' Health Care Bill

Would any of our resident GOP Apologists/RWingers care to defend Sen. Coburn's objection to this bill?
(Your party is the one the wraps itself in the flag & touts these heroes at every "On Camera" opportunity........& yet you have the unmitigated balls to try to kill this bill?)
I'm going to make a huge leap here & expect any defense to be the standard GOP: "We are in favor of "X" (First Responders' Health Care, general health care reform, credit card reform, wall St. reform,etc)....Just Not THIS bill!

    ...Because: (take your pick)
    1. The bill is too long
    2. The bill is too short
    3. The timing is bad because.....(fill in the blanks)
    4. It's Socialism
    5. It's Communism.
    6. It's Elitism
    7. It's Fascism
    8. It's a generic "Ism" (but we can't think of another sinister label right now)
    9. People need to be responsible for their own actions (except us of course)

    Any takers?

I'm going with "What is it's fiscally irresponsible and we can't afford it" for $500, Alex.

Besides the fact that you didn't see fit to provide a link to the bill, I won't play with loaded questions.

    Sorry, Charlie.

His objection to the bill was there was no hearings on the bill ..... turned out he was on the fucking committee that held hearings, but his seat was empty throughout the entire proceedings.

There is no defensible objection to this bill.

Here's a whole Google search for you Gunne: first responder's bill - Google Search

I can't say I'm surprised you know nothing about this bill...I'm sure GOP/Fox News never mentioned it...... in an effort to hide their blatant hypocrisy.

Probably the real reason GOPers tried to kill the bill - US Chamber of Congress told them to kill the bill.

Thanks for the link, but I'd rather get my information from some place other than HuffPost.

Since I'm not a GOP and I don't watch FoxNews, I don't care whether they've mentioned it or not...and I do know about the bill, I just wanted you to post your link to it.

It doesn't matter anyway because, as I said, I won't play your loaded question game.

Right, b/c some other place could somehow change the fact of Coburn's words, and Coburn's absence from the hearing.

How utterly, ridiculously, willfully ignorant. "I don't want to know about those facts, because I don't like you."

Why do wingers think shooting the messenger is actually a logical strategy?

I don't like HuffPost because I don't like them....I don't like them because they are too left-wing slanted. Their information is unreliable because of that.
