Republicans don't use "community organizers" but they will (and do) support community developers there...

But, many do collect welfare, yet they vote for the party that will take that away from them. Go figure.

Would you call a system that has brought more people a higher standard of living and more freedoms that ANY OTHER system ever tried by mankind immoral? If that is the case, then you must really hate Socialism and Communism and Oligarchies and Monarchies.

You really ought to listen to some Milton Friedman and get educated on the morality of Capitalism.

I didn't say capitalism is immoral. I said it's not a moral/ethical system. Capitalism is amoral.

And the system that did those things you're talking about was capitalism with lots of regulation, unions, and progressive taxation. And you're talking about capitalism in the US specifically, yes? That was helped a lot by having an entire continent unspoiled by any sort of development to work with, made available by genocide (which is hardly moral). And Friedman wasn't opposed to programs of social welfare--he just thought the benefits should come in cash.

Are they afraid the Tea Party may see them cozying up to the President and they will lose their jobs?

The extent of the GOP leadership’s irrational disdain was evident when the President recently invited House Speaker John Boehner, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and three other key Republicans to an opening of the movie Lincoln — and they all declined. According to the New York Times:

"The five Republicans invitees, including Mr. Boehner and Mr. McConnell, sent regrets; aides cited the lateness of the invitation and the leaders’ commitments on Capitol Hill. Four of the five Democrats who were invited, including both party leaders — Senator Harry Reid of Nevada and Representative Nancy Pelosi of California — did make it, joining not only Mr. Obama but the film’s director, Steven Spielberg; its screenwriter, Tony Kushner; and the actors
Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones and James Spader."

    Lincoln, what a horrible movie.

    I can't say I blame them.

The movie was in large part Fiction and written by a sick twisted Liberal.

The Dems hijacked the Republican concept of equality above all.

They took off their sheets, put away their pointy hoods and now claim the other side is racist.

Look, Lincoln was terible, it was politicized and was ignored by the REAL critics for a good reason.

What a generalized bunch of claptrap. Not one specific observation about the movie in the whole post--just a lot of emotionally-charged language and over-the-top comparisons.

Its the truth Rasales......is it hard to read ?

First off, the Lincoln lunatic screen writer has already conceded the many flaws and liberties that were taken as he and Speilberg tried to revise history.

Jim Crowe Laws were created by Democrats. Bull Connor, the KKK, George Wallace, the politicians that tried to filibuster the 1964 voting rights act, all Democrats.

So the Democrats took Black Americans off the bus, and then through them under the bus, as they created policiy that enabled generational dependence, poverty, drug abuse and crime.

Voter farms were the new Democrats racist agenda.

You don't believe me ? Whats the unemployment rate for blacks ? For young black males under the first black president ?

Because Republicans believe the poor deserve to be poor.....they believe that if the poor weren't all so lazy and stupid they'd just go out and get a job.

No doubt we can rely on the historical interpretations of scholars like yourself.

    That made little sense.

A democrat by any other name is still a democrat.

They're just far more insidious these days.
