JC's a 34 year old journeyman/free agent. His NBA days are already numbered as are Tebow's NFL days. The people that made Tebow a "hero" didn't help his NFL career, now did they? Cheers.

He led his team to the playoffs and beat a Super Bowl winning quarterback. In fact, Tebow made the decisive throw in OT in the first minute of play. Then the Jets made him a back up and didn't use him. There is certainly dissonance between the claim that other teams don't want the Tebow "circus", yet they embrace openly Gay players in their locker rooms, or so the sports press seems to be implying.

Collins is gay. I hope the best for him. To me this is all no big deal.

The Tebow story is interesting. By all reports when he reported for the voluntary camp a few weeks ago it was clear he had worked on his footwork a ton in the off season and even his throwing motion showed marked improvement. He was far less "sidearm" and far more traditional. Apparently he was working with Vinny Testeverde and Chris Weinke in the off season and really took to the changes well. Here we have an 8-4 NFL Record QB, that took his team to the playoffs that showed marked improvement in the off season, yet he was cut. If he were a young black QB with that story; I suppose the media would be howling about racism.

I would say he should go to the CFL like Jeff Garcia, Warren Moon, Doug Flutie, and others have done, but the team he would go to has the "Joe Montana" of Canadian Football starting and he would not even get playing time there. God is truly testing this young man. I hope the best for him.

The idea of a part time role was idiotic. Tebow builds a bond with his teams that allows him to have faith in THEM. People come through for him when he is in that role. He has a better record with the Broncos than their shiny new quarterback with the Super Bowl ring.

Hopefully the Cowboy will pick him up. They're in dire need of a starting QB and a backup.

If not, he'll just have to sit home and count all those millions he made....

    This is an interesting analysis.

Tebow wasn't cut because the Jets drafted Smith; he was cut because he isn't good enough to be an NFL quarterback. He wasn't good enough to play for one of the worst teams in football.

Tebow is a great person, and he can use that to inspire others. Just not on an NFL field anymore.

Let's repeat that so it sinks in for the people who still think Tebow has some NFL value: He is a great person, and he has the ability to use his celebrity and esteem for incredible things, but he simply isn't good enough to play in the NFL.

He had a magical run in Denver (thanks mostly to the Broncos defense), and that got him sent to the NFL's worst possible quarterback situation where he couldn't even get on the field.
To completely belabor the point, Tebow has shown—both in Denver and New York—he cannot be a traditional NFL quarterback, and there is far too much risk for a coach to bring in Tebow and change his entire offense around the guy. It worked in Denver because of the parts around him, and necessity dictated the switch. To go into a season planning that is insane. No team will be willing to do that, especially after the disaster in New York.

You're reading too much into this. Tebow is not and NFL caliber QB. It has nothing to do with his faith or anything else. He's just mediocre, in fact if anything his faith and the circus around him is what has kept him relevant this long.

So why didn't Peyton do better than Tebow?
