ROFL! arock's still a newb, he's probably not yet familiar with the forum slang. Maybe cut him a little slack (for a day or two).

Yes, Hillary is selected. Protected, even. And at this moment, the 'Pubs have no one who could even put a dent in her.

So, her Presidency at this point is pretty much a given, unless she decides not to run, and the only reason for that would be if her doctors "strongly caution" her not to.

But yeah... y'know, arock actually seems like a very reasonable person (and even trends toward reasonableness in terms of the forum back-and-forth), maybe he can help us figure this thing out. We'll have to show him stuff about the "selection" part, no one buys that first time around anyway. You gotta kind "stare at" that equation for a while, before it sinks in (that's been my experience, anyway).

Hm. Here's an interesting question: how many bankers are in CFR, and where are they from?

Yeah…..getting better insurance at a cheaper price is gonna be very unpopular. ….not!
Covering children with cancer is gonna be very unpopular.….not!
Stopping insurance companies from dropping thousands of Americans is gonna be very unpopular….not!

There's nothing cheaper about it, so far. The cost stories are running 99:1 against.

Covering children with cancer is gonna be very unpopular.….not!
They could have done this without ObamaCare, by simply regulating the insurance industry.

Stopping insurance companies from dropping thousands of Americans is gonna be very unpopular….not!
So far the numbers are saying that 14 million Americans are getting dropped because of ObamaCare.

Are you kdding? The middle class is paying for this stuff! Six thousand dollars a pop.

That is not happening for many. Many small business people find they are beingh cancelled and a Obamacare policy will cost them almost double

Any that used group policies that were "non-compliant" after ObamaCare kicked in.

Seems there are several small business owners right here on this forum, to whom that applies.

I mean, look - there's an overwhelmingly simple fact here, that tells the entire story of how this is going to go.

We now have the same risk groups, with more coverage. Therefore, costs and premiums must increase. It is entirely illogical to believe otherwise.

One of the interesting parts of this is the "Cadillac health plans" that allow rich people and CEO's to get far better healthcare than everyone else - because they're not really using the ObamaCare system, they're "independent". So like, a business owner could in theory set up a group plan for his employees and keep the cadillac plan for himself. Regulating treatment "over and above" the ObamaCare standards is going to be very difficult, if not entirely impossible.

Yeah. I read a post from someone who claimed they laid off their 19 employees and retired.

Too bad the ACA doesn't apply to his business.

Really? Obama lied or misled the people on his healthcare plan. He was referring to the 65% of people that have healthcare plans through their employer.

Put what you call a lie in perspective. I'm not off topic. We're talking about liars. Bush lied and we ended up in the biggest debacle in US History and I'm not going to stop talking about it. It cost us 5,000 US soldiers and destroyed many lives at a cost of $6 Trillion to this country. I'm not going to forget it. It was a mountain of a fuck up. Obama's fuck up was a molehill.
