    Jared Kushner, "Everything Czar"

    No shit.

Trump wants to get a lot of work done, he just wants his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to do it.

As the Washington Post’s Ashley Parker and Philip Rucker reported on Sunday, Kushner has been tapped to run an entirely new office with the “sweeping authority to overhaul the federal bureaucracy and fulfill key campaign promises ― such as reforming care for veterans and fighting opioid addiction.”

    *snip*

So, if you’re keeping track, Jared Kushner, who comes to Washington with no government experience, no policy experience, no diplomatic experience, and business experience limited to his family’s real estate development firm, a brief stint as a newspaper publisher, and briefly bidding to acquire the Los Angeles Dodgers, will be working on trade, Middle East policy in general, an Israel-Palestine peace deal more specifically, reforming the Veterans Administration, and solving the opioid crisis.

Oh wait, that’s not all! Apparently, this new office will also be responsible for “modernizing the technology and data infrastructure of every federal department and agency; remodeling workforce-training programs; and developing “transformative projects” under the banner of Trump’s $1 trillion infrastructure plan, such as providing broadband internet service to every American.”

We have certainly come a long way from “I alone can fix it.”

I particularly like the part where he's going to be in charge of some foreign affairs. Guess we don't need Rex Tillerson after all. Just MM's SIL that has zero experience in that area and was not confirmed by the Senate.

But hey, nothing about this administration is normal.

Donald Trump plans to make Jared Kushner America's unelected, unapproved, uncontrolled CEO
If you’ve been waiting for the moment when Donald Trump hands over power …*good news! But Trump isn’t officially placing his magic marker scrawl on a resignation. It’s just that, after two whole weeks of trying to get a health care bill passed, he’s tired of all this talking to people and trying to make compromises. So it’s time to shake up
    ------------------------------------------------------------
While Donald Trump is anxious to destroy existing offices and departments, he’s creating a brand new one, to be lead by his 36-year-old son in law, a man who has never held elected office, never stood for Senate review, and who isn’t screened out by nepotism laws because …no one knows why.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
In a White House riven at times by disorder and competing factions, the innovation office represents an expansion of Kushner’s already far-reaching influence. The 36-year-old former real estate and media executive will continue to wear many hats, driving foreign and domestic policy as well as decisions on presidential personnel. He also is a shadow diplomat, serving as Trump’s lead adviser on relations with China, Mexico, Canada and the Middle East.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
Senate investigators plan to question Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and a close adviser, as part of their broad inquiry into ties between Trump associates and Russian officials or others linked to the Kremlin, according to administration and congressional officials.

Trump Son-in-Law Jared Kushner to Oversee Government Overhaul - NBC News
President Donald Trump will name his son-in-law, White House senior adviser Jared Kushner, to lead a new office responsible for streamlining and overhauling the federal government on Monday, the White House told NBC News on Sunday night.

"All Americans, regardless of their political views, can recognize that government stagnation has hindered our ability to properly function, often creating widespread congestion and leading to cost overruns and delays," according to a statement issued Sunday in Trump's name.

"I promised the American people I would produce results, and apply my 'ahead of schedule, under budget' mentality to the government," the statement said.

Plans for the new structure, to be called the White House Office of American Innovation, were first reported Sunday by The Washington Post. The Post reported that Trump's chief strategist, Stephen Bannon, a highly controversial figure, would have no formal role in the operation.

"We should have excellence in government," Kushner told The Post in an interview Sunday. "The government should be run like a great American company. Our hope is that we can achieve successes and efficiencies for our customers, who are the citizens."

Here's the skinny on Jared's daddy Charles Kushner:

    Criminal conviction
In the summer of 2004, Kushner was fined $508,900 by the Federal Election Commission for contributing to political campaigns in the names of his partnerships when he lacked authorization to do so.[7] In 2005, following an investigation by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey,[8] U.S. Attorney Chris Christie negotiated a plea agreement with Kushner, under which Kushner pleaded guilty to 18 counts of making illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion and witness tampering.[9] The witness-tampering charge arose from Kushner's act of retaliation against William Schulder, husband of his sister Esther, who was cooperating with federal investigators; Kushner hired a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, arranged for an encounter between the two to be secretly recorded, and had the tape sent to his sister.[10][11][12][13] Kushner was sentenced to two years in prison[10] and served 14 months at Federal Prison Camp, Montgomery in Alabama[14][15] before being sent to a halfway house in Newark, New Jersey to complete his sentence.[14][15][16] He was released from prison on August 25, 2006.[17]
As a result of his convictions, Kushner was disbarred from the practice of law in New Jersey,[18] New York,[19] and Pennsylvania.[20] .....wiki

The elder Kushner is now back on top wheeling, dealing and rolling in big money. Did the Jared nut fall far from this tree?

The more important question is perhaps what sort of power, influence and impact do such people have, as well as general support, from the people they work with or work for.

As time goes on, and if Trump continues to be exposed and expose himself, his son-in-law will become, for Trump, either a whipping post to deflect blame onto or an extension of himself, for which to steal credit from.

I think beyond any question of nepotism, come the questions about business conflicts of interest, especially in light of the Trump Foundation, found to be self dealing.

I'm not sure how Kushner can essentially act as Trump's surrogate (as President), while at the same running Trump's businesses and NOT be questioned about some MAJOR conflict of interest.
