Not that simple unfortunately. And unlike the way the GOP operates, the Dems didn't RAM through anything. It took a long time and lot's of back and forth and the single payer they truly wanted was killed by The right.

Democrats passed it using budget reconciliation. How do you think they got it past a filibuster with only 59 votes?
This is how you know how shitty Obamacare is. The left keeps trying to blame Republicans for it. Which is laughable on its face. But if this thing were popular and successful, they wouldn't be trying to share credit.

Couldn’t possibly be worse than what the online angry white guy brigade has been calling her for a decade.

She shares a special place in their heads - along with a random colllection of other women. Leslie Jones. H Clinton. Rosie O’Donnell.

The left blames the right for Ocare? Wha? We blame them for not allowing it to work. Besides trying to kill it from the beginning and then trying to kill enrollment by trashing it every chance they got, when it was their turn to develop a plan, after 8 years, NOTHING. Despite Trump's loud proclamations of "better healthcare at a fraction of the cost, we got "who knew it would be this complicated?" And now by killing the indiv mandate they've effectively left folks with nothing but to be thrown at the mercy of big insurance. Obamacare was an attempt to have America join the rest of the world by sensible coverage. Instead of coming up with their own plan they sat on their hands because it was more important to kill an Obama bill than to help their working constituents by fixing it.

Obamacare is a complete failure. Republicans are to be blamed for not having a replacement. But that doesn't let Democrats off the hook for lying to the public to push through a complete piece of garbage. If a private sector CEO sold a product or service as dishonestly as Obama sold his health care plan, the Justice Department would be all over him with fraud charges.

It was supposed to provide affordable health insurance contingent upon, among other things, states expanding Medicaid and setting up exchanges. A bunch of states didn't. So Obamacare only worked part ways.

I was able to keep my insurance when I needed it most and I probably would have lost it under the old laws. So fortunately for me, the part that worked was pretty cool.

ALSO...if Obama hadn't pushed Obamacare through, no Republican would give a damn whether anyone here could afford health insurance.

You know... like in all of those modern, civilized nations.
Please define "access". By the standard definition everyone has access; the door to the medical clinic isn't blocked for anyone. But clearly your use of the word denotes something else, like having someone else pay for your medical care. That's not "access", that's having someone else pay for your medical care. Why do you have to try to disguise and mischaracterize what you really mean?

I'm still looking for my $2500 in annual savings and strangely the "affordable care act" seems to have made healthcare way more unaffordable. And it was stupidly overpriced to begin with. Thanks Obama.

The ACA was a partial failure for a number of reasons. Remember? Sometimes you like to admit to multiple factors playing a role in something and sometimes you don't.
