George Bush apologizes for Iraq War

George W. Bush Apologizes for Iraq War | The Daily Currant

Former U.S. President George W. Bush apologized for the Iraq War today, saying the conflict was "his biggest mistake."

In a statement released to a Texas newspaper, the 66-year-old Bush said he meant well when he sent America to war but asked the American people to forgive what in retrospect was "a clear example of poor judgement."

I respect his apology, but he should still stand trial for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and treason for allowing 9-11 to take place.

I figured GW would never admit the Iraq war was a mistake....even to himself. (kinda like some members here)

if Iraq breaks apart into total civil war and chaos, he still will think it was a good war.

He's right; the article is on a satire news site. Look at the headlines on the front page.

That article from Daily Current is the only one on the net stating Bushes apology for the war. I found no other statements from other news media on this subject, so I believe this article is a hoax.
Former U.S. president George W. Bush says he continues to have a "sickening feeling" about the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, his main justification for approving the 2003 U.S.-led invasion that toppled dictator Saddam Hussein.

Mr. Bush discusses the Iraq war and other controversial moments of his presidency in his book Decision Points, released in bookstores across the U.S. Tuesday.

In an interview with NBC television to promote the book, the former president says the invasion was the right decision to make, and he feels no need to apologize. He contends that Iraqi citizens are better off without Saddam, whom Mr. Bush calls a "homicidal dictator. He should be tried for not preventing 911, how would you try him for that?
