And that is why we are dangerous, because history is always about one group trying to impose an ideology on another. You call yourself an Historian and you do not recognise that simple fact?

I know that fact very well, probably better than most.

What does that have to do with my OP of the perfect ideology?

Really? Simply that there is no perfect ideology. History should have taught you that much (me, B.A. [Hons.] Ancient History and Classical Languages).

I studied American history and never had to take languages because I got a B.S.

And there are perfect ideologies, as I have show, it doesn't mean their execution will not always be flawed, that has nothing to do with their perfection. There has never actually been a technocracy so we don't know but I am also a fan of militarism which has existed and worked quite well.

No, no ideology has been implemented where people didn't suffer. Militarism is highly flawed as it costs lives (e.g. Nazi Germany). I don't think you're understanding where I'm coming from.

    Nazi Germany was fascism.

To see a militarism style of government you need to look at places like Sparta or Prussia.

Derp! It was a militaristic society, as was Rome.

Militarism is not necessarily a form of government and I never intended to limit it to such. It can also be a social feature of a group. Surely you're aware of that?

Militarism ALWAYS seeks war over diplomacy.

It can be a form of government however and that's the context I was using it in. Nazi Germany used the military to attain other goals, a militaristic ideology focuses all state functions on the military regardless of what's going on. Everyone in the state lives to support the military. Machiavelli explained this in "The Prince".
