Well I suggest you go talk to people in Kentucky about it. They have the most to lose under a repeal - and they are not happy about it.

I think Trump is playing the "my propaganda is better than your propaganda" game, and since the MSM has been playing that game for decades, this may be a moment of truth for Journalism in the US.

The "moment of truth?" How ironic! You're giving Trump a ringing endorsement for being a skillful liar. What shame you bring on yourself.

I have been commenting on this a lot lately. Trump's audaciousness is viewed as an opportunity by people in both parties. One can want to take advantage of it without endorsing him. I do not want Bannon propaganda to replace MSM propaganda. I want the MSM to go back to its roots and get out of the propaganda business.

I don't think that is going to ever happen.

You don't know much about the history of the press in this country, if you think its roots are not in the propaganda business. It's impossible to talk to someone who insists on history that just plain isn't true. You need to educate yourself beyond one book.

The press has NEVER told the complete and unadulterated truth. It has always been up to the audience to figure out the truth. Newspapers mostly started as propaganda instruments for the political parties. It was an instrument for the propaganda of Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst after that. There is no Golden Past to which we can return. News has always been about shifting sands.

Once again, this golden age of pure white snow journalism never existed.

The public paid for it. Why shouldn't we adhere to it?
