Eastwood didn't talk about current political events, but while discussing his then-controversial 1971 film 'Dirty Harry,' he waded into a topic he's touched on before: political correctness.
'A lot of people thought it was politically incorrect,' Eastwood said of 'Dirty Harry.' 'That was at the beginning of the era that we're in now, where everybody thinks everyone's politically correct. We're killing ourselves by doing that. We've lost our sense of humour.'

He is right, Dirty Harry was a story of a cop going after a known criminal that had kidnapped a girl and buried her in a hole somewhere that she would die in.
Harry just wanted to stop the criminal, but the city was telling him his tactics were not correct. In fact the criminal paid a guy to beat him up so he could blame Harry for it. As it turned out Harry killed the Criminal , but the girl died, but the city seemed to care more about Harry being politically correct then getting the criminal. I think this is true today. We focus more on being politically correct then getting justice. We have lost humor making us outraged at anything that doesn't fall within out ideology. For instance Trump gets death threats because he wants to keep America safe, or He wants to build a wall on the Mexican border so we can prevent drug dealers from smuggling drugs. People want people destroyed for not being politically correct. Clint is right, we lost our sense of humor.

Do you run around being politically incorrect?
Are you FREE now with Trump to be an asshole if you want?

I always ask this when Republicans present their working groups on women's issues like healthcare....

Roasts don't really fit in this topic.

Modern roasts are one of the few environment where political correctness is commonly ignored/violated. And hilariously so....

Eastwood doesn't really have a lot of acting range. But he puts out some great movies.....from both sides of the camera.

Today's movies about racism don't need to be subtle anymore.

What a doofus statement to make.
