Perhaps but when discussing facts, emotional responses are usually cast aside anyway. The truth isn't debatable.

The Vietnam War is on the History Channel.

    Good TV.

And what does this have to do with the actual topic of the OP?

Kaczyinski's lawyer sold him out to the judge. Our system is broken and the lawyer and judge are corrupt but that doesn't change the fact that Kaczyinski is a murdering psychopath.

Ya know. This is actually an interesting question. It is easy to dismiss Ted Kaczynski as a "nutcake", and just ignore his philosophies. However, many of the observations in his manifesto were actually kinda spot on; particularly his suggestion that, as we become more technologically advanced, we surrender our individual autonomy to technology.
Technology is jut the tool though. He wasn't saying we are slaves to it. we are slaves to the government in part due to technology and he is right about the enslavement.

For me, though, unless I missed it, they haven't discussed most of his manifesto. There was that part about technology and something about a revolution but mainly the linguists going over it looking for patterns.

I am at the part where his attorneys want him to be found insane to save his life and he is trying to fire them.

They have done a good job, imo, of going into his childhood and right away you see the oh so common dis-affected youth. Doesn't fit in.

What is this part about the experiments? It wasn't really MK whatever. So was that a hallucination or was there some sort of experiment he did take part in? I meant to stop and google that but I kept watching.....

The Vietnam War is on PBS, not the History Channel.

It's good TV, just like the subject of the OP.

I did not like that part at all. I have mixed feelings about the psychological warfare they did on a man with schizophrenia who was in custody and no longer a threat. I also am not sure if putting a schizophrenic in solitary for the rest of his life doesn't violate cruel and unusual punishment. Probably he belongs in a forensic psych hospital.
    Thanks from chaos

Ted is a grown man but his mother and brother had to know he needed help. Our streets are filled with people suffering with mental disorders because their family wants nothing to do with them. Kaczyinski needs to be in a psycho hospital, not a prison.
