none of these folks actually want a christian nation.. they can't go a concurrent hour through a day without "sinning".
They praise adulterers and folks who spit on the bible as their glorious leaders.. as long as they can "pretend" they have a moral compass.. which usually sums up to "gay bad, abortion bad, you will hopefully burn in hell".

If they would actually spend time to think, instead of FoxNews.. they would not be so outrageously silly and hypocritical in their views.

    Ms. Boop,

Seems like you can't understand your own question, i.e., "what will America look like," followed by a paranoid screed.

It all depends on what one means by the term. There are different interpretations.

    That never happens.
The last truly serious intellectual on the conservative side in American politics, in my opinion, was this man: William F. Buckley, Jr. I had a lot of respect for that man. For one thing, he always believed in civil and reasoned debate. You can bet that he would be appalled by the entire Trump Phenomenon. Did you ever watch Firing Line, when Buckley was the host?

I both like and don't like this. The post to which you're responding, I quibble with -- though I'm not certain how to quantify it. MY experience as a Christian (in both the UCC and a non-denominational church) has been study on both Old and New with emphasis on the New (i.e., Christ and his teachings.) That said, being a believer doesn't insulate people from hypocrisy and/or from falling short of the ideals they espouse.

I'm kind of where Macduff is on the dude. There are policy and political pluses but I still can't stand the guy. (I couldn't stand Hillary either, though, so that lowers my cred in the eyes of some, as well.)

I thank you for that, LeRoy. I try to be. On that note, I'm woefully tardy in responding to Claudius in another thread but hope to make my way back to it and give a semi-cogent response sometime today. Work (both gigs) has been a bear of late.

And @BDBoop !!!! - You're back!!!! I'm gone for a few days and miss out on all sorts of stuff!!! *hugs*

Has the multicultural immigration into Europe made those countries a more desirable, beautiful, peaceful place to live? Be honest. Or do we have to wait ten more generations for it all to mix ?

Is Paris, London, etc more beautiful and calm?

Less poverty, less crowded, less racial friction, less crime is a good start. WE are not lacking for run down urban areas, people on govt assistance, poverty, importing more is not the answer. See # 2 Your idea of utopia is not going away.

And how do you think that can be made to happen?

Liberal policies are what got us here. Same for Europe. More poverty immigration, friction, cultural & racial & religious friction. The once great, beautiful, peaceful cultural cities of Europe will be a memory. That is your plan for the USA.

To a large extent, this is true, and I would agree. Yet it may have been just enough Catholics in the key swing states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, who were swayed by some last-minute Russian propaganda, to cast their votes for Donald Trump, hence turning the election to him----only a swing of about 77 thousand total votes in those four states would have done it. And one bit of propaganda that was spreading in the ten days before the election was a false claim that Pope Francis had endorsed Donald Trump because of his anti-abortion stance.

Now, anyone who had been following the campaign all along would have known that was hogwash, because Trump and Pope Francis had had very harsh words for each other some months earlier, over the issue of building a wall on the Mexican border. Pope Francis said "Christians build bridges, not walls", and questioned Trump's Christianity. Trump called that 'disgraceful'-----even though less than a week earlier, he himself had questioned the Christian beliefs of Ted Cruz!!

But of course, there are low-info voters, who don't start paying any attention to politics until the last two weeks or so before a national election. How many Catholic low-info voters in those states may have heard this 'news' that Pope Francis had 'endorsed' Donald Trump, and voted accordingly?

The correct answer is: We will NEVER know!
. . You don't think their local church would verify that claim?
