IMO, the decline of the West is juxtaposed with the rise of the East.

Trump see's that and is trying to resist/change it, and the left is not happy.

That's a laugh. If the East is rising----and it IS----it is BECAUSE the East is emphasizing SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY. And Donald Trump----make no mistake about this----is an ENEMY of science.

Mr. Trump is ACCELERATING the decline of the West, and of America in particular. That is what he is doing.

It's fair to say you've done little to no reading on the subject.

Not quite sure what you're asking here. Would the local church verify WHAT claim? You think Catholic voters were going to their church and asking if the Pope had REALLY endorsed Donald Trump?

If they DID, why, I'm sure the church would tell them, NO, that's a lie. But many of them might simply not have even thought of doing that, or might have felt they didn't have time to do that, or..... well, a hundred other reasons why they might NOT have done that.

It's fair to say that you're wildly wrong. I read science journals by the DOZENS, buster. I KNOW what scientists are saying about Trump.

And YOU, quite obviously, do NOT.

Whats scary is when I was in college, one of our books said something similar, "the Nazis were focused on science while the US was focused on a moral society." I do think WWII snapped us out of that. Hopefully another war wont have to get us out of our funk this time.

True, I don't read science journals, they've no use on the subject of political economics.

I see. I guess you just don't understand that it was America's global leadership role in science and technology that MADE us the superpower of the world in the post-World War II era. It certainly wasn't prayer in the schools, or anything like that.

Science is important. Trade, foreign policy, military might, challenges of globalisation, recovery etc.. are more complicated and more important. They reckon China will have a larger economy than America by 2030 and India will surpass America by 2050.

Military might is utterly dependent on scientific preeminence. That was true in the 20th century and will be even more true in the 21st century. In World War II, it is a VERY good thing that Nazi Germany was not the first to develop the Atomic Bomb, no? And it was only the madness of Nazism that drove all the great Jewish physicists out of Germany that caused that.

Adolf Hitler: "If we cannot do without Jewish scientists, we will just have to do without science."

That was what Adolf said after he had been warned that Germany was suffering a terrible 'brain drain'.

Yes, China WILL have a larger economy than America. Probably by 2025 rather than 2030. But the REAL question is: Which country will be the scientific and technological leader of the world? Will it still be America? Then we should still have the more powerful military. It is not just out of American patriotism that I deem it important----even vital----that America continue to be the dominant superpower until at least 2050. I happen to believe it is the best outcome for the WORLD. IF China were to become the dominant superpower in the world at any time before 2050, I think it highly likely this could lead to a major Sino-American War. Not conducive to the future prospects for the human race, and that may be putting it mildly.
