Great list. My fave is Dylan's "Masters of War." Every time I hear it I immediately get an image of Cheney in my mind. It fits him to a tee and it forewarns about his kind. Fits Bolton as well.

I'd like to see someone do a protest song about Trump. He/she could call it WTF?

A song memorialising the "Highand clearances" where subsistance crofters were evicted from their rented land to be replaced with more profitable sheep, and the similar experiences with the closures of heavy industry in the middle of last century, leading to mass emigration.

This might be a bit too obscure, but definitely on topic...

Sing in falsetto falling from the highest heights
Like the ribbons running through your vibey vintage mics
'Cause everything is going great you should be super psyched
    Put the false in falsetto
Let your voice go gentle into this good night
The further up it goes the faster it can fall in line
You entertainers need to keep the entertainment light
Don't tell it like it is
Entertainers better keep the entertainment light
Don't tell it like it was
Entertainers better keep the entertainment light
Just tell it like I want it to be
Don't tell it like it is
Entertainers better keep the entertainment light

I put the false in falsetto
Let my voice go gentle into this goodnight

God help us if someone makes a musical version of Huck Finn.
