Dinesh DíSouza, Pardoned by Trump, Claims Victory Over Obama Administration

    By Peter Baker
    June 1, 2018

WASHINGTON ó Dinesh DíSouza, the conservative author and filmmaker pardoned by President Trump, claimed victory on Friday over what he characterized as a political prosecution by the administration of President Barack Obama.

In terms that evidently resonated with Mr. Trump, who is aggrieved about investigations that he blames on his predecessor, Mr. DíSouza presented himself as a victim of selective justice, hounded by Mr. Obamaís attorney general, Eric H. Holder Jr., and the United States attorney in New York, Preet Bharara, because he made a movie sharply critical of Mr. Obama.

ďWhat happened here is Obama and his team, Eric Holder, Preet Bharara in New York, these guys decided to make an example of me, and I think that the reason for this was Obamaís anger over my movie that I made about him,Ē Mr. DíSouza said on ďFox and Friends,Ē one of Mr. Trumpís favorite shows.

ďAnd so, this was a vindictive political hit that was kind of aimed at putting me out of business, essentially making ó destroying my credibility, making it impossible for me to make movies, write books, and that since has failed. But it still left a cloud over me,Ē he added. ďI would be a lifelong felon. I would never be able to vote and never have my full rights.Ē

What was he threatened with? How many others have violated campaign finance issues and how many went to jail?

Because he said, they threatened to add on another charge that would land him in the slammer for 5 years. He didnt say he was innocent.

It was a charge that is seldom used. It was Obama punishing a conservative for telling the truth about Obama. The pardon is great news

It is illegal, is prosecuted, and those convicted do get fined, and can do prison time.

...for anyone who is politically active, the main takeaway is that it is illegal to reimburse political contributions made by others, and it is not difficult for a diligent adversary, journalist, or law enforcement agency to pick you out of the haystack and trigger an investigation.

Too bad you dont have as much compassion for immigrants and their children - Dinesh D’Souza is every bit as much (and in many cases more) the law breaker that they are.

Again, you expose yourself as a hypocrite.
