Trump wants to fix immigration, but he can't do anything and not be hated for it. Also, Trump has to do everything BY THE BOOk since most everyone is out for his head.

Anyway, the story of family separations comes out, trump creates a situation where action is demanded. He makes an executive order, doing what he wanted in the first place, but with the support of people who would oppose his every move.
    This literally makes no sense.

He CHOOSE to enforce a "zero-tolerance" stance. No one forced him to do it. He did that all on his own.

And you must not understand how our "welfare" system works.

Undocumented immigrants do not qualify for welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, and most other public benefits. Most of these programs require proof of legal immigration status and under the 1996 welfare law, even legal immigrants cannot receive these benefits until they have been in the United States for more than five years.

    5 immigration myths debunked

So it would appear again, that you are the one writing the fiction.

    Back to the original topic.

I tend to agree with David Brooks

You can tell that he is so jealous of Obama (trying to dismantle everything he ever did). It's obvious he knows nothing about any kind of real policy and just makes things up as he goes. His base does to seem to be made up of anti-liberal trolls (have seen that here). Also agree that he seems to hate checks and balances. I have been reading that he is not relying so much on his staff anymore (except for maybe legal issues) . I don't know what could be worse than calling Nazi's "fine people" and separating children from their parents...

    Maybe declaring Marshall law?

Trump is a conservative republican. Not liking him doesn't change that. No one should mistake that or miss that his claim to fame was mirroring the Tea party in the search for Obama's birth certificate. It should be noted that Trump is a mirror to a party that has been deteriorating since 2008. He is the end result. It is imperative that voters understand that they cannot distance themselves from him that easily.

And yes, it will get worse.

Trump is not anything! He spent years claiming to be a Democrat then ran on a Republican ticket. Democrats would not have the nasty blowhard.

He is evil, vindictive and a Disgrace to this Nation!

That goes for his kids, his wife and his enablers.

He did not raise his kids, a poor excuse for a Father! His kids share his lack of morals and character. Now,we find his wife is just as bad! She cancelled a visit to where Children are held in wire cages. Her trip was just another expensive PHOTO OP!

I doubt if Trump is able to play Checkers! His attention span is too short.

For the sake of this op taking out the proof that he is flawed, he is absolutely the results of today's conservative. It isn't an accident that he mirrors the Tea Party and has mirrored them even before he ran for president. That really is who he is. I see no benefit from giving conservatives an out or distance for things he does that mirrors them since 2008 and that they accept and encourage.

Disagreed. Not to split hairs Min, but it would be more accurate to call him a reactionary. Bear in mind that a number of “conservatives” are actually reactionaries. I say this because conservatives as well as liberals can come under subjective definitions. To use a couple of examples: I would consider myself,Bajisima and Wonderer conservative, but not as right leaning as say Macduff. (For the record he is no reactionary either)

    Imho

So he planned it? That makes it worse, because that would mean he’s smart. Nope.

Spot on ....and I'm guessing that many of his supporters are just like him.
Maybe some who voted for him were just conned and have now realized what he really is but people who still support him are deplorable.
