I just figured single payer healthcare implied affordable, if not completely paid through taxes. Seems like adding it was redundant.

Anyway, that would be on my list, as well as "single payer" state colleges and universities, and go ahead and throw in the decriminalized pot, just because it's fun and we don't want everyone finishing free college in 4 years.
Thanks from bonehead, Blueneck and Babba

I want to see a return on my tax dollar. Right now, most of see absolutely nothing in return.

Single payer health coverage where EVERYONE is covered and not just the poor or the wealthy.

Overhaul of public education that trains our youth to be our future workforce.

I want to feel safe on our streets. No American should dread going to work because they work in a high crime area

I would like modern infrastructure. The US is becoming embarrassing with our crumbling infrastructure

More research and development so we can compete or exceed global competition

    Decriminalization of MJ

well, it will also lower the cost of law enforcement if pot legalized - not to mention the prison system savings.

Why would I advocate for unaffordable single payer health care?

I think we could encourage the use of cleaner renewable energy for both the public & private sectors. Roll back tax cuts for the wealthy but increase deductions and credits for increasing energy efficiency, especially for businesses. Increase capital gains taxes to help pay for infrastructure improvements, but create a lower bracket for investment in R&D for renewable and tech that decreases energy consumption.
