I could go down the line, but let's just look at "abortion"/"contraception" as a campaign issue. Well, if we pay close attention we will see it is not the GOP candidates making an issue of this. These issues are brought up by the MSM trying to trip up the Republican candidates (mainly Santorum) to make them look limited and fanatical. The candidates have never instigated a conversation on these issues.
Or, could be this is the typical abusive reaction people on the right get subjected to, when ever they refuse to tow the party line.

But that's okay... anyway, I have good news for you! You know that rumor that we have troops in Afghanistan? Well... considering how most of what we hear about it is online, and we don't know if the people who post said stories are lying, and we don't know for sure their real names and addresses... we can pretty much conclude that we don't really have troops in Afghanistan.

JOM... turning denial into solutions since 2006!
Chief - you are living proof that that letter could have been written by a disgruntled former Republican.

some people edit their letters, yanno. although i like the idea that you apparently think it's too articulate to have been written by a conservative.

That's what I would go with.

I was a registered Republican from my initial voter registration until recently. And, while only some of my views differ drastically from the party, almost every Republican I know will call me a liberal. Even those I have know for years.

I don't care if the letter is legit or not; I think it does convey the feelings of a lot of people. While I don't agree with everything on it (I do think abortion, reproductive rights, and gay marriage should be issues), I know many frustrated voters that do. And if the GOP doesn't want their vote, then they'll give it to someone else.

Tele, would you call a Republican moderate a RINO?
