Gee, @Ginger, this is exactly what conservatives were saying during the 2012 elections - the "main-stream/lame-stream" polling has to be wrong because of it's inherent "liberal" bias.

Dean Chambers of the right's UnSkewedPolls.com, Jim Geraghty of the conservative National Review, PJMedia (formerly Pajamas Media) and even Karl Rove all did their own research and trusted their "common sense". They all told us that the liberal polls were wrong, and that the election was going to be a landslide for Mitt Romney. We all know how that turned out, don't we?

Those so-called "liberal" pollsters were within a point or so of the actual voting percentage, while all of the "unskewed" pollsters got it so wrong that people like Rove were having a mental meltdown on live TV when they found they were so out of synch with the rest of the country. These same conservative pundits and pollsters are currently disputing how badly the GOP/TP is doing in the polls since the government shutdown debacle, and of course we have others bashing this poll by Stan Greenberg and company on ObamaCare.

Anyone willing to put money on who's numbers are more accurate this time? The polling companies who've been doing this kind of work for decades, and know the processes involved? Or those "unskewers" who are delusional enough to think that they can't possibly be wrong, and thus only listen to their own little echo chamber?

You guys keep "studying it out", and using your "common sense". As for me, I'll take the old gambler's adage: the race may not always go to the swift, nor the battle to the strong - but that's the way you bet.

There's a new poll out by the WVWV claiming Obamacare is really popular! According to Salon.com, quoting Alternet:

Never mind Alternet; we all know who they are and what they do; let's take a look at where this claim really comes from and scratch just below the surface:

See the link ("report" in the fourth line) and look at how the question was phrased:

First of all, they're asking people to agree with a statement even if it's not how they really feel.
Secondly, they're shaping the question to pull in those who object because the law is flawed.

Who was polled and who did the polling:

Let's look at who conducted the survey; Greenberg Quinlan Rosner:

It's founder and CEO, Stan Greenberg

    The firm:

    Their mission statement:

It's clients are a who's who of democrat power players (notably Bill Clinton) , and democratic party committees:
US Campaigns - and advocacy groups, and progressive organizations, as seen in the client named in the article; the Democracy Corps and the Women’s Voices Women’s Vote Action Fund"

Now, about this group who commissioned the poll - Democracy Corps and the Women’s Voices Women’s Vote Action Fund.

This is a progressive advocacy group.

    Their "about us" page:
What is the predominant ideological preference of single women? "Liberalism", and this is a big target group for the progressive Left.

It's founder, Page Gardner is a democrat and has worked for democrat campaigns. The rest of the staff are democrats also, and additional info on their deep dem roots can be found here - including that fact that "Executive Director Joe Goode comes directly from Dem Stanley Greenberg's polling and political consulting firm, and formerly worked for Dem Congressman David Price of NC" and VP Anna Greenberg is Stan Greenberg's daughter.

What's my point? That progressive groups are incestuous and they help each other build the lies that solidify their power. But the lies are after all, still lies.
Are you advocating doing away with the ACA & letting the insurance industry run things again?
Do any of your kids have cancer?
    Any kids in college?

The thread isn't about polls, it's about manipulating public opinion through organized lies. If you can't grasp that, you're the kind of person the Left targets and manipulates. I'm truly sorry if it embarrasses you, but thank you for validating my point.

As I said, no one seems to be a Republican these days... and it's really odd, when you think of it. I mean, there was certainly an abundance of them during the Bush administration, telling those of us who disagreed with them to "get out of their country." But now, not so much. We do, however, have a bumper crop of "libertarians", "conservatives", and "classical liberals" who sprang up (seemingly) overnight, once the Bush fuck ups became readily apparent, even to them.

ah, you're not a republican...but you happily repeat their memes and support their nonsense. Got it.
So what, incredibly transparent, fiction do you use to disguise your status from yourself?

That is true. Anyone with a brain distanced themselves from the Republican establishment.

And now suddenly the same people who distanced themselves are your enemies? Go figure.
