Interesting article. Although the BLS statistics cited are a little confusing.

"The number of hate crimes reached a five-year high in 2016, taking a noticeable uptick toward the end of the year around Donald Trumpís surprise electoral college victory.

The FBI, in a report released Monday, said law enforcement agencies nationally reported a five-year high in hate crimes, with 6,121 in 2016. Thatís up over 2015, which saw 5,818 such crimes reported, a near 5% increase.

However, 88% of participating law enforcement agencies reported no hate crimes in their jurisdictions, an ongoing challenge for data collection efforts. In comparison, the Bureau of Justice Statistics estimates that an annual average of 250,000 incidents of hate crime victimization, about 40 times the number reported by the FBI."

From this article: The bulk of reported offenders, 46.3% were white, while 26.1% were black. Nearly all offenders, 83.8% were over 18-years-old.

So, if anyone is thinking the uptick was only on the white side, that is wrong. And I've had threads showing how many non-white hate groups have risen too.

The point is not that attitudes have changed or beliefs have changed but that yes people are no longer as afraid to express themselves and speak their minds. The point is actually that there should be NO fear of expressing oneself.

For years the wanna be tyrants of the left wing have made is socially unacceptable to speak ones mind. Americans however reject this notion as a violation of the idea and principle of freedom of speech which is not limited to the first amendment.

What people refer to as racist or sexist speech or any other derisive term is in fact most often just honest opinion which is not the least bit racist or sexist but is deliberately labeled as such by left wing cowards in order to silence dissent.

It is the push back against this stupidity which you are seeing.
Having a third grade vocabulary and plain talk are two totally different things.

    Uh huh......

Hillary, this is the real reason you lost - Chicago Tribune

...Clinton told Jane Pauley of CBS News' "Sunday Morning" that Donald Trump won because he "was quite successful in referencing a nostalgia that would give hope, comfort, settle grievances, for millions of people who were upset about gains that were made by others," Clinton said. When Pauley asked, "What you're saying is millions of white people?" Clinton replied, "Millions of white people, yeah. Millions of white people."...

...So Clinton believes she lost Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and the presidency because of the bigotry of middle America.

One problem with her analysis: Millions of those white people who voted for Donald Trump also proudly voted for Barack Obama. There are nearly 700 counties in the United States that voted twice for Barack Obama, one-third of which flipped to Trump in 2016. According to Nate Cohn of The New York Times, "almost one in four of President Obama's 2012 white working-class supporters defected from the Democrats in 2016, either supporting Mr. Trump or voting for a third-party candidate." Are all those Trump-Obama voters bigots? Millions of once reliably Democratic voters pulled the lever for the first black president, yet they were suddenly whipped up into a racist furor by Trump's "racial and ethnic and sexist appeals"? Give me a break....

    No.

I see more blacks getting out of poverty because they have gotten jobs.

I have seen more Hispanics getting out of Poverty because they are getting jobs

I have seen more poor Whites getting out of poverty because they are getting jobs.

    FULL TIME GOOD PAYING jobs.

This is why 2,000,000 fewer people NEED welfare since trump's polices have been implemented.
