Trump emboldened them, but they weren't sitting there being normal before he came along.

    I'm kind of glad he did though because I'm finding out all sorts of shit I didn't know before.
    Highly educated, intelligent people are child molesters, wife beaters, and plenty of other bad things so we shouldn't be too surprised at this.

    I'm more concerned about the act of calling 911 over minutia and how people justify that in their heads. I heard someone on television say the phone is like the remote control to some people and they're tuning out things they can't deal with.

    I notice a lot of these educated racists tend to be a little on the younger side. Which makes me wonder if part of the problem isn't that we've been telling people for such a long to "let the authorities handle it" when there's any sort of conflict that we have nurtured a generation of helpless citizens who have just become accustomed to the idea that they need an "adult" to settle even the most minor differences of opinion.

    Then there's the issue that people who are highly educated usually make more money, which means they see the government as something they pay more for than others and therefore are entitled for it to be be at their beck and call. It's become a common attitude among all income brackets that's become popular since the Tea Party for people to think they have more say in what the government should and shouldn't do based on the idea that they pay taxes and nobody else does. The myth of "makers and takers" if you will.

    Some people just think that because they are the ones who called the police, that they therefore are entitled to have the police do as the requested.

    Back in the olden days, I was a process server in college. I was substitute-serving papers on someone who was not at the residence, when the woman at the door complained at me and called the police. The police came, and while they were talking I dropped the papers on the mat in front of the woman and said "you have been served," or something similar. When she continued complaining to the officer, he threatened to arrest her for littering if she did not pick the papers up. She complained that "what? but I'm the one who called you!" Naturally, the officer cared not a bit (and I maintained a straight face while suppressing the urge to react).

    The first thing we can do is vote and vote in every election. The only way to deal with this is to shame them politically, nationally, socially, personally and constantly. There are some things the government cannot do and this is one of them. What everyone on the left must grasp is that these people are beyond reach, they will not and cannot change. The goal for us should be to enrage our own base and attract voters that never vote to get off their asses and vote. Trump represents an era that is ending, this is the last gasp of the white patriarchy. When I see women supporting this beast it only proves to me that men in certain sub-cultures within America have indeed taught these women they are worthless and subordinate to their wishes. It is sad but true.

    This posted on Facebook and properly attributed to Frank Leon Roberts;

    The white man who verbally assaulted Latinx women for speaking spanish in a Manhattan restaurant is an attorney with a J.D. from George Washington Law School and a B.A. from Johns Hopkins.

    The white woman who called the cops on her black Yale classmate for sleeping in a dorm is both a Ph.D. student in Philosophy at Yale as well as a licensed attorney with a J.D. from Fordham Law.

    The white woman who called the cops on a group of black folks attending a barbeque is a professor at Stanford University with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.

    Contrary to the popular media talking point that Trump-ea racism is most potent among lower-educated rural or southern whites, the truth of the matter is "progressives" enclaves like New York City, Connecticut, and California are bastions of white liberal racism. The fact that all of the white folks involved in these recent incidents are well-educated, "cosmopolitan" professionals (and members of the Ivory Tower) is indicative of a norm not an anomaly.

    So my question is this: How can we progress from here, when people who really should know better, both by intellect and education, are feeling free to bigot at will?
    What should be done to these college educated white women?

    I don't believe it's possible to shame a sociopath.

    Perhaps, perhaps not. Hopefully this isn't a trend developing with white women. Or men. People should just live and let live, imho.
