    Black America without slavery.

First of all. Slavery was Terrible and a dark time in our past,

    That being said,

What would black America be like if this never happened? Would the American black population be better off? Would Africa be better Developed and a nicer place? Would we have less of a black population in America? Basically what would America be like today if this chapter in out history never happened?

    Yes, yes and yes.

In addition to the major differences above, the Civil War most likely would never have happened. The south would have been in much better economic shape as a result and likely would not be so far behind the rest of the country economically as it is today. On the flip side, it is hard to say when the 14th amendment or something similar would have been enacted without the Civil War. The southern states were required to ratify it in order to resume equal status with the other states of the union after the Civil War. Prior to the 14th amendment, people's constitutional rights were not protected against state governments. Hard to say how much longer that problem would have lasted or what the exact implications of it would be, but the 14th amendment is pretty much the bedrock that our constitutional rights are built on today, so it could be a major difference.
