That can hardly be compared to dinosaurs going around roaring their lungs out for no reason, as shown in all dinosaur docs and films.

The same answer applies to the rest of your points. You will find that crocodiles, especially hunting or being hunted, make no noise. You might get a hiss out of them when they are fighting, but again, that is hardly a roar.

Another point is that turtles are very close to dinosaurs on the family tree. They both share a common ancestor.

Cry all you like, but croaking once a year is hardly roaring every five seconds, as dinos do in the docos and movies I've seen. You are comparing a fart in a bathtub with a nuclear explosion. *Shakes head very much*

Thanks, yes, I’ve seen that before.

There is no evidence of vocal chords, and it may be that the structure was used for something other than sound production. However, even in the event of it being used for this purpose, there are a couple of points to make:

    1) If it were true it would only represent a tiny percentage of all dinosaurs (and or reptiles), and there are usually a few exceptions to all rules (like the 15 fish out of 28,000 species that make a low pitch farting or tapping noise).

    2) If it was used to make such noises, we know nothing about how it used such noises, or the volume it used. It may have used it to make a croaking noise, during mating, once in a blue moon. So once again, that is not the same as roaring and screaming stentoriously every five minutes, as dinos in docos are routinely presented.

Yes, as I said, amphibians are a noisy lot.

I'm not so sure. Everyone knows that if a T-Rex eats a lawyer, it'll have the shits for a week.

You'll say that right up to the day when a lawyer saves your life, and never again.

So, the Dinos, in your opinion, had no means of communication. This is absurd.

Does the tree in the forest make a sound when it falls ? Define sound.

Lawyers are like toilet paper; they serve a need, but I'm not saving them after I use them.

Your arse serves a need too, and you keep it after using it many thousands of times to produce very fine produce.

Remember the thread about us having many more senses than just five?

Dinos could do all sorts of things without being noisy, just as lizards do.

Does the tree in the forest make a sound when it falls ?.
    You bet.

Which comes first, the chicken or the egg? The egg, of course.

    Define sound.
    Yeah, ah, here ya go.
