I can put a Hello Kitty sticker on the Roomba if I get one.. it'll be just like a pet cat except it doesnt shed, or destroy stuff, or poop and piss indoors, and it sweeps the floor

    So..that's one glowing recommendation.

had it for a couple of days now and I like my new pet! I just press a button and it starts sweeping the floors for about ten minutes and then it goes back to it's bed to rest. Great for sweeping under the couch.. hehe lol I find myself saying "good boy!" to it. I'll need to train it eventually so it'll start sweeping automatically at a certain time

It does seem to have problems with small area rugs.. sometimes the roomba just pushes it instead of rolling over the rug.
oh and it's noisier than I expected but thats ok since less chance of me stepping on it accidentally.

    iRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba has to be one of the best inventions every made. If anyone is on the fence about getting one, take the plunge you will be glad that you did. Once you have set the scheduler up, it will take care of everything from there. I put one in my apartment. I'm only there a couple days a week and really don't want to be tasked with lugging a vacuum cleaner when I am there. I set the thing up a couple weeks ago and it just does its thing. It comes out and cleans the floors. I just empty the dust catcher once a week.

I have heard that there is a iRobot lawnmower in the works. I've seen a few YouTube videos but I can just imagine the liability of that invention. Something with a blade running automatically controlled by a computer taking out the neighbor's cat. Attorneys are salivating at the thought.

Has anyone got one of these things?

I want two! But I have hardwood floors, and $2,000 is too much to spend.

Did you also get a cat?

Haven't seen the lawnmower roomba in person.

Saw a video of one, and the one I saw looked like a larger version of the indoor things.

Wonder if they make one with a bagger...?

I bought mine at a pawn shop for $35. Hey, what can I say, I love Cash America Pawn, they even have their own iPhone app. It's the 4230 Scheduler model, and it hadn't seen any use. Still in the box and the battery still had the tapes on it. I've been using it about two weeks. When set up in the scheduler, it will run an hour each day. I can tell by the lines in the carpet that it has covered the whole place. I love it.
