    do EARTH-humans &'star wars-humans' share a common genesis?

I just finished watching rogue one and one thing of vital importance occurred to me.

are humans in star wars the same as earth humans??

they come from a galaxy far far away so surely they can't be humans like us- regardless of how they appear.

is it a fluke that 2 identical species have evolved far away from each other in the universe....or do we have the same genesis? did a small band of 'star wars humans' travel across the universe a long long time ago and settle earth?

i would say they share the same idea. All human cells carry something called mitochondria. Mitochondria give cells energy for life....cells provide a place for teh mitochondria to live. It is a symbiotic relationship.

and yet... mitochondria carries a completely separate DNA. It is not us, and we are not them. Mitochondria is passed though the female line.

when SW came out with the whole midichlorians thing.... that is what i felt he was referencing.
