Hey Windows 10ers, are you having this problem?

    *******

Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4022725 Now Failing to Install for Some
    By Bogdan Popa

"KB4022725 is one of the Windows 10 cumulative updates released by Microsoft on this month’s Patch Tuesday, and just we told you yesterday, it gets stuck during the install for a number of users, with no error message displayed whatsoever."
"While in some cases the install actually completes successfully after waiting for a certain period of time, there are also users complaining that Windows 10 cumulative update KB4022725 actually fails to install just like its predecessors, pushing the system into an infinite reboot loop."

Apple Removes Hundreds of Thousands of Apps from the App Store
    By Bogdan Popa

"Apple started a new cleaning process of the App Store, with a report claiming Cupertino has already removed no less that hundreds of thousands of apps that violated the guidelines, but which somehow made it to the store."
"TechCrunch writes that Apple is mostly looking to take down clones and spam apps, but at the same time, the company is also pulling apps that weren’t supposed to be there from the very beginning, as it’s the case of those created with a template or an app generation service."

Exclamation Microsoft: Fully Up-To-Date Windows Secure Against Petya Ransomware

You've all heard of this dangerous Ransomware haven't you? Here's the details!

    *****

Microsoft: Fully Up-To-Date Windows Secure Against Petya Ransomware
    By Bogdan Popa

"A new ransomware attack brought down computers at a large number of companies and organizations across Europe after it infected systems and required owners to pay $300 in Bitcoin to receive the decryption key."
"In an in-depth analysis of the infection, Microsoft explains that the new ransomware is a form of the already-known Petya with worm capabilities, emphasizing that up-to-date Windows systems are fully secure."
"On computers where deploying the latest patches is not possible just yet, users are recommended to disable SMBv1 and to add a rule on the router or firewall to block incoming SMB traffic on port 445."

There are many who are now using Windows 10. This is something to be apprised of.

Microsoft Starts Nagging Windows 10 Users to Update Systems, Privacy Settings
    By Bogdan Popa

"Basically, Windows 10 users will be asked to review their privacy settings, though the update to the Creators Update won’t actually be offered. Microsoft guarantees that despite the privacy screen, the new OS version won’t be forced on users."
"The new nagging message will show up to 5 times, Microsoft says, and the company hasn’t mentioned what would happen next if users dismiss them every time."

No Free Upgrades, No Growth: Windows 7, Not Windows 10, Top OS Worldwide
    By Bogdan Popa

"Windows 7 continues to lead the desktop OS world with a share of no less than 49.04 percent, while Windows 10 is the runner-up, but with just 26.80 percent. Shockingly, Windows XP is third with 6.94 percent, followed by Windows 8.1 with 6.40 percent."
"In terms of Windows 10 adoption, the operating system launched in July 2015 is currently stagnating, as the June 2017 market share has increased only by 0.02 percent from the previous month. Signs of a possible slowdown in Windows 10 adoption were experienced since May when it improved only by 0.50 percent, following a massive 0.92 percent the previous month."

Windows 10 is nice, but I've never seen a compelling reason to bother with the upgrade from Windows 7.
