Your Brain May Continue To Function After Your Death...

    https://www.bustle.com/p/your-brain-...uggest-2944724

A significant number of participants in the study report being aware of their surroundings during the period in which they were pronounced dead. Though most were unable to recall specific memories, 39 percent of the study’s participants could describe “a perception of awareness.” A small percent say they were also able to hear full conversations, even see things happening around them. Lest you think these accounts a hoax, medical professionals and staff who were present at the patient’s time of death were also able to verify these stories.

Oh yes, there have been many accounts of people clinically dead, yet who described things that were outside the room, grieving family members in a waiting room for instance, or a distant relative they were concerned about...

Some believe that this "mortal coil" is only a conduit, and that our real self could be far away somewhere else.

    Thx

Offer my body to science, should my end be in hospital, let them hook up every piece of equipment that can get any kind of metrics, and let them go for it and see how long everything continues to 'work'. Starting with an EEG machine and see how long the brain waves continue after 'time of death' stamp.

Death is a transitional process. I don't doubt that brain activity continues for some period of time beyond when one stops breathing or having a heartbeat. That said, near death is not death. No human has ever returned to life after having experienced an extended period of being physically dead, except in myths.

Yes. Theoretically, our entire universe may be nothing more than an atom within a giant's toenail.
