Yes, we changed the passwords on all those Foscams that day. Then went a step farther and changed the ports on the router blocking the common ports. My apartment in Atlanta has one that is aimed off the balcony. It doesn't do anything but look out at the city but it has been hacked before. The password was actually changed on it remotely by someone in Russia. (Maybe it was Trump's campaign)
Maybe you're really in that other Georgia. Who knows?

I've long since given up being angry or exhausted with our inexplicable fetishes with connecting literally everything we touch to a damn wifi network and having it haphazardly barf data all over the place.

The security is always a joke, these devices are always giant holes in your network if you aren't smart enough to isolate properly. Multi million dollar corporations cut corners on cyber security and we somehow expect a bunch of 26 year olds who had to crowd fund their whole project to do better?

It's all absolutely maddening. I lost all hope when I saw the smart shower head.

The only good news is this isn't sustainable at all. With how ingrained technology and the internet is in our lives and just how much this issue is propagating it's only a matter of time before the whole thing burns down. It's going to be ugly but maybe we'll get it right with Internet V2.
    Thanks from Friday13

And you,, ,win the prize, the tech companies know it too, they know it's not sustainable, but it will be a decade or more before it fizzles out.

If you only knew how they, those who invent this crap, actually protect their own systems, it would blow your mind, they aren't worried about governments being overthrown, they are worried about IP, and IP is GOD in tech.

Auto-reset, check your temp readings on the cameras, that's a common problem, if your cameras have muffin fans for cooling, they may not be working correctly, check your settings and your environment.

No, the Foscams were hacked. The router clearly showed the IP address overseas that visited. Apparently, this is a thing now. They hack baby cams all the time. Who knows why.

People were getting their cars hacked - thieves could unlock and steal them.

Don't forget the guys who managed to shut down a Dodge while it was driving down the freeway with nothing but a laptop.

Probably. We bought Foscams. However, the problem was we never changed the ports that they use. Now those ports have been changed and the normal ones blocked.

You don't have to do that with Dalsas.
