Okay, so Dalsas are wonderful. That isn't what I happen to have. We have five Foscam, three Dropcam, one ion, one Samsung Smartcam and one Astek Mole. Each has its purpose.

    I have a 'stupid' home...so glad I can't afford a 'smart' one. I even bought a 'stupid' TV...

Self-driving cars...where are they going to actually take you, and will you get there alive?

I buy different pieces of smart technology to test them out. Generally, I get them for a wicked discount but I like to play with new tech when I can. Smart technology as this thread points out has a risk. While I can control certain power outlets in my home and lights from anywhere, so can a hacker if he can figure out my username and password.
