Invasive species in the United States

    Python:

South Florida has hired 25 hunters to kill Burmese pythons, an invasive species endangering the Everglades' ecosystem.

    Blue Catfish:

    Anaconda:

The largest anaconda ever measured was almost 28 feet long with a girth of 44 inches. She wasn't weighed at the time she was caught, scientists estimate that she must have weighed over 500 lbs.

    Northern, Giant and Bullseye Snakehead:

Puzzling Evidence caught this Northern Snakehead in the Anacostia River in Maryland.

    Bighead carp:

    Silver Carp:

    Feral Hog:

    9-foot-long, 1,100-lb. hog.

    Clown Knifefish:

    Green Crab:

    Black Carp:

Please add to the list, thank you.

    Yes .....

A very large one at that, on the Texas Louisiana border.

This Giant Salvinia gets tangle up in boat motor props and when the boats are are put in another body of water the Giant Salvania spreads like wild fire.

    It's a major problem.

In Switzerland we have problems with American squirrels, which drive away in many places the local ones, the same with cray fishes.... the American kind is erasing the local one.... not to speak about some weeds......

Those are the bad ones. Not all invasive species are a problem, though: Think German Brown trout, Eastern Brook trout (in the west), striped bass, Eucalyptus trees that lots of Californians must think are local.
