    They are fairly common in our rivers and canals and whether the water is fresh or salt makes no difference to them.

    The story is FASCINATING and well worth looking into. It is remarkable to see how closely that story paralleled the movie Jaws from 1975.

    "Jaws" was inspired by a series of shark attacks off the coast of New Jersey in 1916.
