Question What happened to the other continents that disappeared from the days of Pangea?

    Meet Pangea!!!

This video explains how our parent continent "Pangea" broke apart:

New seafloor in the Atlantic pushes the earth's crust appart and moves the east coast of the Americas away from the west coast of Africa.

If you have continents moving apart, what happened to the part of the earth's crust that got smaller in order to facilitate this?

It was swallowed by the continental plates along the west cost of the Americas and the east coast of Asia. It was sucked back into the earth and swallowed up by the magma to be recycled.

Was that area that disappeared, all water? I doubt it. There were certainly land masses that disappeared under the plates at the same time the Atlantic ridge created a bigger Atlantic ocean.

Were some of those areas the size of a continent? I don't know and I'm not exactly certain how we could find out.

    Your thoughts?

After eye originally thought up this thread, I realized that any large super-continent would still be on location as the areas it would have been sucked into are too far from the center of the Pacific ocean. If there were any other continents that were part of Pangea, they might have been swallowed. In order to tell this, the fosil record would need to be examined in areas close to these places where the earth gets pushed under

This interests me Genesis said that God Created a land mass and then separated the lands with the waters.
