    Both systems are universally used. I'm sure in countries mainly using metric, sell beer by the pint, as an example.

    I often find on construction sites that mistakes are mainly due to working in metric, by trying to remember bigger numbers, conversion issues between mm cm metres and general arithmetic errors. The old school guys working in imperial rarely make a mistake.
